Midlife Crisis

I think I'm having one. Although I feel like I've been having one ever since joining here. I believe there to be no correlation though lol. I post a lot of shit on here. But every so often I get real and want some solid discussion. This is one of those times. This post is probably going to end up just being stream of consciousness stream of fuck really. But been doing some math and realizing I'll be 40 next year has got me really thinking about my future and life. Primarily if I want to keep doing the same occupation for the next 27 years as I've done the past 21 years. Work like a dog for almost 50 years doing something I don't really love -- just to enjoy, if I'm lucky, like 13 shitty years at the end. Seems more and more like a scam. I really have no formal education or training. But my job is so weird and demanding. Anyone go through something similar or change careers late in life? Am I pussy? Is this normal? Any input?

I got a motorcycle, lots of tattoos and joined a volunteer fire department. Didn't help my divorce happened at the beginning of mine but 40 being the new 30 ain't no joke. If your own projects aren't keeping you satisfied anymore I'd suggest doing charity work, it's somewhat fulfilling knowing you're helping others.

I had an FJ 40 with all fiberglass body and a built 327 in it with a 5 speed with 4.11 axles and a rear locker. 1st gear was pretty much a granny gear. That stupid thing would haze the tires (11.50 15 mud and snow) in 3rd gear. Mud tires make a lot of noise when they are spinning on dry asphalt. Anything above 75 was scary due to the short wheelbase and no weight. It would go pretty much anywhere.

I had 3 at one time, sold two of them. I'm down to one last project, a 71 with a 305 and TH 350 with NP 205 transfer case. I'm tired of working on things so I'll get this one movable and sell it also. I have my truck for any offroad needs.
Ok, I thought the last one was gone too. Would be a fun project.
