What constitutes an “old head”?

When I started smokin weed in 1974 I was 14. It was 1 finger nickels, 2 finger dimes, and 3 finger lids :eyesmoke:
Acapulco Gold was a rare treat....Tai sticks were an even rarer treat. (Ohio)
Quaaludes, acid and PCP where in high demand (by me) All the girls wore mini skirts, some hot teachers too! We were impersonating Cheech and Chong and thought we were the shit. Oh and we had REAL music back then...Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, and Frank Zappa type stuff lol
If you can relate...your an old head.

I don't consider myself an "old head" set by the standards of the weed community and probably most in this forum. On the other hand, I'd be considered an old head by the standards of the type of music and lifestyle I led during the 80's as a teenager with long hair. We were all called Heads at the time. I bought 2 chips of Hash from old heads at the local shopping mall in this community's context though. I'd consider my uncle an old head since he was smoking weed in the late 60's/early 70's.

I'm 42. I use it as a sign of respect or a pejorative. If someone older than me is still cool af it's the good one. Anyone over 35 or so that is laughably set in their ways gets the bad one.

I kinda know what you mean i can go from old school blues or folk to all the good 60s shit to 90s trance or hiphop or 70s reggae to a few select modern bands i guess you could say my musical tastes are eclectic or skitzo depending on how you look at it i guess and i prefer older strains usually over modern ones too plus was mostly morrocan hash i started on too first bud i seen was imported as well some kind of african or Caribbean ganja most likely so by those standards i can relate but i wouldnt call myself a old head

If you are in decent shape age isn't bad.

I've seen chubby 30-sometihng women slothing around, "I'm getting old" with their twisted hips from the shear force of gravity from all the nacho cheeses they swallowed.

At the other end we have that 90 y/o guy on TV hopping around like a grasshopper selling his inversion table.
