Irrigation manifold (orbit) question

My question is:
When running the 1/4" line.... Do all lines need to be the same length? Will it affect the output if they aren't? The manifolds have adjustment screw on them so can I just cut the length I need and adjust the pressure from the knobs? Or is the idea a shorter line will start watering sooner therefore letting more water pass through in the time it's on?

So I just did it anyways. Ran them all about the same length. Ended up a couple inches short (story of my life! Lmao). On one but doesn't seem to make much diff. The one pump runs 24 sprinklers,. Super happy with how it turned out. Will snap a pic on light on.
Very easy to do. Bit of plumbing and leveling and messing around. I did manage to snap a branch putting in the lines too. Grrr. But now watering isn't a back breaking labour job. Wahoo!

Well I’ve never used that one, but have used the floraflex bubbler for a couple runs way back. And in my experience with that the lines had to be the same length
Did you ever have an issue with the bubbler manifold clogging?

No. I ran the open flow setting
Ya I got them all wide open, and control the flow via the sprinkler itself. Might end up switching to drippers but I've already had my gripes with drippers and decided to try a sprinkler style. Been working in the other tent well, so kept with the same deal in the 5x5. So far, so good.

I was gona go with floraflex, but the cost was fairly high. I figured I could build something for less, and I'm no stranger to plumbing etc. I based my idea off floraflex and the bubbler manifold. Found those orbits ones and realized they sell it all at home Depot too. (Amazon was cheaper for the manifolds got 5 for 45$)

I do like floraflexs' distribution tops. But $$$ I seen @bk78 you switched to growtek drip rings and said you liked them. Where did you get em?

I use the same distribution mani. I dont use the adjusters on it, they will clog. run it WFO.
dont worry about run length differences with 1/4" tubing when its only a few feet variation.
just takes a second more to fill the longer lines and once they are running its virtually the same output from all.
cap the ones not being used. if you open and close the soft plastic screw valve too much it will fail.
works excellent for me.

Nice, ya I figured the output wouldn't be too much of a diff but I tried to keep them as close to the same as possible (within an inch or so). Thanks for the tips about the screw adjuster I won't be playing with them.
I set it up so I will use every port available, not having to cap any off.
3x 8port distributors on 12 plants. 2 lines each pot

ive run 8 plants off it with no problems.
with multiple emitters per plant you can fine tune run-off by using different gph emitters or capping one off for awhile until that plant catches up.

I'm prob gona switch over to the drippers, having some potential issues with the sprinklers. Still fine tuning.... how many gph are your drippers?
