I know there will be a massive report published. I hope however -
that someone will quickly generate and publish a précis of who else and what. There are certain legislators whom I sooo want to see covered in the backsplatter.

that's what the 14th amendment is for, and in the case of insurrection, the 14th qualifies him and disqualifies him and anyone close to him from holding any office...period

He didn't march to the capitol, he wasn't cheering the mob on. He was sitting in a room watching things unfold on television. He did nothing to stop it? Any decent defense lawyer could make the case that he was overwhelmed by the gravity of the situation and thus the reason why he was unable to do anything. He was in shock over what was happening and therefore temporarily mentally incapacitated.
The Committee can send a referral to the DOJ but that's all they can do. The DOJ is going to take guidance from the White House and it's quite possible that Biden is going to tell them not to proceed with any criminal proceedings against trump. The GOP takes control of the House January 3rd so this is basically an on the way out the door thing.
The criminal referral doesn't mean anything is going to happen to trump. It's only says that they investigated, we think something took place, here's what we gathered during our investigation. The DOJ doesn't have to do anything and if they do it's not going to happen overnight. It could drag out for years and then if Biden loses in 2024 the incoming administration could just stop any DOJ investigation and shelve it.
There's a lot of pieces that have to fall into place. If the DOJ thought it could build a case against trump over January 6th you would think they would have done it already. The DOJ is going after him for what they believe they can prove in a court of law and that's the Mar A Lago documents he stole.

But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
lets see what the DoJ is gonna do, and Smith.....imo if you slap the 14th on him and the rest including the Freedom Caucus and those 34 other republican idiots

I don't follow that nonsense. I could care less about what they're doing. Oh the poor oppressed Mehgan living a life of luxury most will never see. I haven't been following it at all yet I feel like I've been beat over the head with their saga just from the headlines to articles I don't click on or the random commentary on television that I hear before frantically searching for the remote so I can change the channel.
Why does anyone even care about the lives of some spoiled people? That whole Monarchy nonsense is rather silly. I'm embarrassed for our friends across the pond for continuing with that circus show.
