Then there is the possibility that the light are not genuine. Today world is full of copies . If you are a whole seller of anything ,you can make a deal with a chinese factory to make a copy of it. And sell it with maximum profit with the clients buying from a distributor shop would have no clue that the product is not genuine not even the distributor shop owner would necessary know.

What made me think first of all the lights came in cheap cardboard boxes with no labels on. !!!
I measured lights on 30% , I have 4 of them all give from same distance quite different readings. Some gives 310 some gives 470..
Some light of one wing 280 and on the same light opposite wing gives 530 !!!
So I would need to buy a proper meter which could show me the wave length foot print and I could compere it to the on HLG one if it maches.
Because the behavior of the plants is so weird the stem gets purple and also the branches and become rubbery and bending down and the growing just stops there.

An other case, years ago I ordered straight from Dinafem Critical 2.0 and they came out beautiful.
Now we bought a lots of seeds from this Asian owner seed shop , the seeds where claimed to ordered from Dinafem and came in small nice 10 pack seeds with an seal on and everything.
The buds came in most of the big amount of plants out really tiny and and flimsy , all was done in exactly same way as before . None of the plants looked anywhere near as the Ciriticals 2.0 we had before.
Those boxes are easy to have made again in China and packed with crap seeds and make a huge profit when there done no comprehensive breeding work behind it...friend of mine had bought something else from the shop payd big money for some supers seeds pack of 5 , 3 of them came out as male and 2 gave really shit yield.
This round from this shop claimed to be Dinafem critical 2.0 is absolutely the shittiest quality of genetics I have ever seen.

Why not call HLG and ask? What was the price per light?

It's not the light. You probably have them too close and turned up to high.

I've been growing with T5's and HPS for years. I recently got an LED light which I'm currently using. I used it for a couple days when I first got it but it didn't cover the tent all the way and I had it full so I put the T5 back in. This is the first time I've ever started seeds or vegged with one. I had a couple plants look a little funky for a minute. I just turned the light down. These ones are not having any issues. I couldn't tell you what the PAR is and I don't even care. I grow by instinct which has served me well for decades and that's how I'll continue to roll. Reused soil and a handful of compost, straight tap water, and first time growing with LED.

Whatever problems you're having are not due to the light but how you're using it. I'm always baffled by the problems so many have with such an easy plant to grow.

So now, because of your likely user error(tons of people, myself included, have had nothing but success running HLG), you're going to claim that they're fake HLG lights.

You're trashing a real solid company because of your ineptitude.

Like somebody else mentioned, why not simply give them a call. In my experience, their customer service has been top notch.

Or continue flailing. Your choice.

Hei man don't be an dumb ass !!! I AM NOT BLAIMING HLG !!! I am suggesting that my grow shop have maybe bought some fake ones from somewhere !!! I TRULY HOPE NOT , like many of you mouth runners think that I am here for looking for validation I AM NOT I am here simply
looking for an answer and I truly hope that of all the reasons that it's me who got the right product and can not use it , I really hope that is the case
I can gather information and practise .
In the other really far out of the possibility that my grow shop would had made a good deal with somebody to sell non genuine product would more of a pain in the ass . I would need to contact HLG and find out which equipment I would need to buy to get the spectrum map footprint
and verify with them that somebody has made bad copies of their fine equipment and they would contact my grow shop and find out who has sold them the lights. and who ever would be responsible would get millions of law suit on thei ass.
