I usually feed a tablespoon to the gallon with a little microbes to the mix, once every two weeks during heavy flowering. Not with feed.

Mostly carbohydrates for the microbes.
I know why people add it. I was wondering if the OP knew why they were adding it. Some people use things just because they see others doing it.

There is no need to add molasses to feed the microbes. It just gives a temporary boost increasing the microbes and then the microbes die after they consume all the sugars. A better way to feed microbes is with the addition of compost and other organic matter which provide a steady release of food as it breaks down. Not a temporary population explosion followed by a die off.

Molasses also lowers the soil pH which over time if too much is used can have adverse effects on the soil health. Like many things cannabis users put on their plants molasses is just another unnecessary additive.

I agree, healthy soil and your good. Molasses can help if used appropriately.
