"I'm not forcing you to be "vaccinated", you just can't do travel or work if you don't"
So when did Prime Minister Trudeau prevent anyone from driving across provincial borders? Air travel and train travel were limited, you know - to try and prevent the health care industry from collapsing, because,,, it did actually happen,,, and we know why. Do you mean not being able to cross the border? You do realize that Prime Minister Trudeau couldn't really force either President Trump or President Biden to allow non-vaccinated Canadians to cross the border, right? Or are you referring to mandatory quarantine when a Canadian citizen was coming back into the country, that was done to prevent a surge of infection in this country, because,, you know,, WE DIDN'T HAVE THE HOSPITAL CAPACITY TO DEAL WITH THAT.

I don't recall any law that Prime Minister Trudeau created that prevented people from working? Employers have a responsibility for the health and to provide a safe working environment for their employees, and it was believed that employers did have a right to require employee's be vaccinated, to you know, protect all the other employee's that don't have a choice who they had to work around. so JT had a choice to require federal employee's to be vaccinated to work THERE, or do nothing and potentially contribute to the collapse of the health care system. No laws were created that required every employed person in the country to be vaccinated, like for real, that actually did not happen.

So no thoughts on those other laws I brought up? The silent majority understand why the government had to do what they did, may not have agreed with all of the mandates, certainly didn't enjoy them, but understood the cost of not doing them; in the same way they understand and agree why those laws exist.

Rob is an idealist who paints in broad strokes with a big brush, he is just rationalizing an antisocial belief, selfishness and low social intelligence, he has brain parts MIA.
Thanks DIY, I really appreciate what you bring to this forum. I have been reading here daily for about two years now, and I may not agree with absolutely everything you post, I have never had to question your reasoning behind posting what you do. I am quite familiar with who I am posting back and forth with, and know I won't change Rob's opinion. Just trying to do my part with pushing back on statements that I believe are toxic and spreading in all our communities. I started to see my silence as basically co-signing those statements.

I would get that at the drive-thru then go find a hidden dark spot to devour it in shame.

Honestly I've been without red meat for so long that it looks disgusting to me now. I used to love Arby's, a steak and a baked potato, cheese fries with bacon bits, bleu cheese & bacon burger...all best when combined with beer.

It's similar to stopping drinking for me. I still want to drink but I sure as hell don't want to get drunk every again. The food has more power over me though. A couple of weeks ago I quit thinking about all of the grease it contained and I broke down and ordered cheese fries with bacon telling myself I wouldn't overindulge. That didn't work out all that well. I left a few in the basket.
