The theory is light isn't penetrating, so the buds aren't developing as densely. It would make sense in your case because you grow really tall plants, but almost everyone does it regardless of plant height.

You know, it's unbelievable and disgraceful, a bunch of experienced growers can't even agree on the basics of plant growth and biology, myself included but like many other I've never ever pretended to know anything.

If fuck ups like bk would stop derailing threads maybe we could all learn something, even him.

I'd be happy to be wrong in my theories for the benefit of learning but as it is I'll need to keep using my best judgment and logic be it right or wrong.

For us mear mortals there's a lot to be learned from idle discussions it's unfortunate that trolling is part of forums for some...well 2 anyway :-), speaking of which I've not seen plank in a while, long may it last.

There are a million defoliation threads, and they are always battlefields. I engage, but also expect a sword fight. It's part of the fun.

Thing is I've read enough about it not be closed minded on the subject, imo it certainly has its uses.

I'm planning on doing a small sbs soon, I'd gladly trade 10% (hypothetically) yeild and have lower humidity, ideally lower humidity and better buds, who knows?
