Woo plants doubled if not tripled in size

Holy frickin' crap!
My jaw dropped when I opened up both tents! It seems that the plants doubled if not tripled in size over the last 10 days! I mean, just by looking at the hydro plants, if this change in size doesn't make you want to try a hydro setup then I don't know what will!
The plants are huge, the fan leaves are monstrous! It looks like the CO2 played a big part in it, the biggest leaves are bigger than my palm, and they're beautiful!
6 plants in hydro drank around 45-50 litres of water, they almost emptied both reservoirs which I didn't expect.

In the time that I was away, some side branches got so thick that they started to "consume" the bendy plastic things that I've put on them to make them bend sideways! Hopefully I'll be able to remove all of them without making any additional damage.

Aaand that's the end of good news. The plants in fabric pots didn't have that much luck (?), because the irrigation system kept them alive but it did not work as expected and this is probably due to the residue from the organic fertilizers. I'm still trying to figure out what happened here exactly but I'll probably won't be able to know for sure, but from what I can see, there was a leakage while I was away. I'll try to revive and bring the plants up to a healthier state!
I also need to defoliate HEAVILY because the amount of foliage is bonkers!

Hydro had zero to do with it. All plants grow 2 to 3x it's height in the week or so(2 weeks, i don't harass my plants every day, all day like some) going from veg to flower. Yeah, hydro will give better than soil OVERALL, but still... all plants will have a vigorous periid of growth unless stunted. Nice plants.

They look great!

Something to be aware of when using the fabric pots, is that if they dry out from the outside in, pretty quicky, so it can help to water them that way, as well, to prevent the roots from being limited by lack of soil moisture to only the center of the pots.

yes and no. hydro will keep your plants 24h hidrated while soil will get dry at some point. allsoo all the roots are allways in all the nutes. while soil will at some point deplete its pockets until you replenish
as he said 60L of water. how well can you water your plants and not drown them... allsoo hydro has o2 water giving you a tiny boost

My expirence has been...they dont stretch more just at times faster it seems. They still double/tripple just different growth rate. Not only do genetics but light position and the light its self play a part in stretch

yes and no. hydro will keep your plants 24h hidrated while soil will get dry at some point. allsoo all the roots are allways in all the nutes. while soil will at some point deplete its pockets until you replenish

You can't spell. That and obviously not read. Hydro grows at a faster rate overall yes, but non hydro plants will have a stretch all the same. This post implies to a new person to get big growth it has to be hydro, and hydro is not the single determining factor to a big plant. Again, all plants unless stunted will have a period of vigours growth no matter what the meduim.

Thats why i said yes and no.plants grow the same speed as soil if you can keep the soil optimal.i just feel like hydro for me is easier to maintain.

You're preference in "maintenance" has nothing to do with what i said. Again, the OPs super growth from the pics he posted it looks like the pre flower stretch and just because it's hydro. All plants get it. Photos and autos. Indicas and sativas.
