I don't guess there's a way to post/insert a PDF file is there? I got an interesting read for ya. Long read, but really gets into the numbers about how our healthcare system is. ... and here's a question for all you non U.S. residents. Do you see 2 or 3 pharmaceutical advertisements on tv during commercial breaks?

They certainly are trying
They were always trying. They are way more motivated. Think about it... there are tons of film of nazi rallies, marches, etc. but none of their opposition who just wanted to live their lives.

The difference here for the last couple months is there is nobody actively shutting them down.

Damn shame, is what it is. Silence equals consent.

maybe a year ago, one of you posted numbers that ran roughly:

suicides by gun 29 thousand
deaths by gun violence, about the same
defensive use gun deaths about 1800

got the reference handy? Thanks
I pulled those numbers from a government data table. Not sure which one.

The site in the link below has a good summary. The numbers don't exactly match the ones listed above but are in line with them and support the conclusion that the "good guy with the gun" is a unicorn.

Data for 2020

Suicide by gun: 24,000
Homicide by gun: 19,000
Legal intervention: 611

They pull their data from CDC

Prob just a collector. I highly doubt it will ever get fired. You gotta admire the craftsmanship tho... the guy is talented.
You really can't be over 19 years old, can you? If you were older, education or just wordly experience would have taught you otherwise.

Hopefully the "artist" just realizes that there is an endless supply of gun freaks that will shell out money for tacky, tasteless, crap that has all the allure of Russian mobster tombstones (pretty much the same tacky style too) and is taking advantage of that to make a living.

I am sure that somebody got paid well to make this too, ^^^, but it is garbage.

You know what they say about leading a whore to culture...

People pay for what others would consider to be garbage. If the demand is there, why not produce it? Doesn't matter if it's guns or glassware. I don't care for that piece of artwork either, but if that's granite?.. and etched, the artist has skills.

So anyways... back to my question and PDF report Post #981, do non US residents see the amount of Pharma advertising that we see here in the U.S.? Not necessarily "Get your booster for Covid", but for anything from depression, skin disorders, migraines, etc?

They are lining some pockets. Me and the wife were just talking about this while watching tv, and counted how many pharma commercials were on during a break.... it's ridiculous. When we were in Europe, we never saw a single one. (pre-covid), so it may be different now, IDK... that's kinda why Im asking. It's kinda silly that they air a commercial for a skin rash, then blatantly disclose that it may cause anal bleeding, stoke, heart attack, or death... I think i'd just keep putting hydrocortisone on it or something.

"The US and New Zealand are the only two countries that allow pharmaceutical companies to advertise directly to consumers.

Considering this, What countries allow pharmaceutical commercials? Because while there are ads for over-the-counter drugs in most of the world, the U.S. and New Zealand are the only two countries that allow drug companies to advertise prescription drugs directly to consumers."

Wonder why that is?
