Ac infinity fans

I just imagine 20 dongles stacked up....id love a splitter but it doesnt appear as though they are out yet, i cant find them at least. A splitter would be great for running 2 clip on fans simultaneously which was my initial goal
Yeah, I'd want to run the fans on different timings though to alternate, and you can't do that with a splitter, unfortunately. Though right now I'm running mine on the controller & using smart plug for the non-ACI fan.

*Just sprang for a smart outlet from ACI. Talked to their customer service to guarantee that I can use the VPD trigger with the outlet so that I could use it with my humidifier, which seems like a good way to dial in tent humidity rather than just the usual humidity trigger on the Controller 67/69 and what is on my Inkbird.

Assuming they know what they're talking about, it will take VPD triggers.

My plugs are apparently coming tomorrow. What sucks though is i just realized i cant even mess with it till i order new fans because it has no way to power it other than the fan i think (sold my old ones)

Yeah, I did notice that the 6" oscillator wouldn't power the Controller 69, but the T6 & S6 do power it.

I use the 6" inline fan model and have the bluetooth controller. Nice feature allows you to see the VPD swings and temp changes throughout the day and night. Gives me a second reading other than my sensor push monitoring device. The fan is lightweight and built well from what I can tell. Been running for 1 year. I have no complaints. Also have the Charcoal canister it keeps smells down to zero. Happy days.

I have the fireblaze fan for my fireplace. But it recently broke, the wire up close to the fan must be disconnecting inside. If I wiggle them the fan shuts off. I have to have it sit just perfect or it keeps shutting off. I will send an email someday and see what can be done.

The ac infinity fan is super easy to disassemble and clean. I have read a few people getting a bum fan, but were helped by customer service. I had a problem with my controller 69 on an update and they sent me a new one with little hassle.

They do sell a silencer I think.. but why not just use the silencer you already have? The fan you have now most likely humms when u dim it, the ac infinity won't because it's a dc fan motor

Customer service is amazing. Controller 69 and the app is top-notch and I've probably only figured out %20 of its capabilities. The T6 works as advertised but I personally have a problem with throw away plastic products and am not impressed with build quality (compared to the old can fans) and view it as a product that you replace every couple of years. They shipped a replacement fan immediately and said to ship the faulty unit at my convenience again A+ service. Also tried 2 carbon filters and compared to the old can filter they are garbage and I don't see how anyone makes the work for more then a few months.

I've put 'em through the wringer occasionally...like today. The person on 'chat' didn't really know if their smart-outlet could be triggered by VPD, which is what I really wanted to know. The new Controller has that feature, but I wanted to make sure it would work with the outlet and not just with the humidifiers/dehumidifiers they're about to introduce. I got a reply about 'you can set the VPD offset in the Controller 69' to which I said...yes, yes you can...I knew that, but that's not what I'm asking. I'm asking if this controller can use the high or low VPD triggers from the controller. She replied that if I didn't like it, I had 30 days to return...and I pointed out that its a 20$ unit with $12 shipping in each direction so I'd lose out if I had to return it and pay for shipping each way. She politely excused herself and said she'd have to ask her manager for information if I didn't mind. I didn't mind and she came back about 10 minutes later to say that I could trigger by VPD, and they'd cover the cost to send back if that didn't work as mentioned.

...I ended up ordering it on Amazon (free shipping, and still from ACI)...just to hedge my bet even though it may be a slower transaction.

The idea that I can set for a specific VPD zone and have it humidify automatically if it slides out is really great since VPD changes with temperature, though I can also set advanced programming so it acts differently with lights on vs. lights out if I need too.

I have a 69 controller set to 3 and goes up to 5 when triggered by high temp/rh and this works good with lights on but I'd like at lights off I'd like it to run at 2 and go up to 3 when triggered. So I basically i want a different (auto) setup for lights on and one for lights off. If anyone can understand what I'm saying is this possible?

Yes. That little button at the bottom of the main panel with an A in a square (Automations). Hit that. You can then set up a separate parameters for different time periods...You basically pick the start/stop of each time period and then you can set your triggers within that time. Set up two with different settings.

Thank you, I love you. I've been manually changing it for months, I'm slowly making my way into the 21st century. I still hand write my directions.

I have one of the control plugs connected to a heater. I only see triggers for temp and humidity - not vpd. Unless there is a super secret setting that I haven't figured out yet...

I found a setting for it in the Automations. Alas, the only problem is that there's not a transitions setting for it as well, so when it triggers (if you have it on things like fans) it just starts crankin' them. So with something else, on a plug you'd want to go to automations, and set one that basically stays on all the time and dial in the desired VPD from there.

I set up a few automations this morning that are designed to keep VPD within .2kPa of 1kPa. Until I have a humidifier set up on one of the outlets with the VPD trigger it will probably not be quite as tight if the temps rise up past about 83F.

Ibuse the AC Infinity 6" it is ultimately very quiet in the sense that it has low vibrations and not very much hum at all or squeal which makes it pretty stealthy. However in the same room the noise is noticable and outside the room it is almost impossible to discern the sound.

I grow in my bedroom so if i leave my bedroom door open i can hear fan noise but to a guest they would just assume its a oscillating fan. With my bedroom door closed you cant hear anything outside those 4 walls. Great fan unit in my opinion. The little controller is neat too.

While we are discussing all things aci...where would you guys put the controller in a non aci tent? I really dont want to cut a hole in my brand new gorilla tents

Also can the wifi controller be adjusted through the app or is the app just for monitoring?

I mounted my controller on the wall outside the tent and fed the temp/humidity probe through a duct opening.

The wifi controller can both monitor and adjust settings.

Mine just sits next to the tent. It has a magnet in the case for if you have something metal close by and it has a 'kick stand' as well.

You can fully adjust the unit through the app. It actually has more control through the app than just the interface kon the unit.

I've gotten my VPD dialed in to within +/- .2 now thanks to the new unit.
