Ac infinity fans

This AC Infinity fan rocks! I’m going to guess with no scientific proof that this fan is about half of the noise level of my old hydro farm fan on level 10. Yes I still here the air and sounds like a jet sure but no where as loud as the other fan I’m happy so far I only tested it the floor lol
Brilliant! Glad you like it

They're quiet at their low to mid settings and get louder when they're in their upper range of their speeds, but that isn't due to motor noise but just airflow sound and those blades pushing air.

I think the real attraction of the AC Infinity stuff is on the control/adjustment side rather than the volume...I think there's probably a good handful of fans that are fairly quiet.

*I have a T6 & S6 in my setup...and have their newest controller (69wifi) plus one of the oscilating circulation fans coming later today.
Not to thread jack but How do you like it? I just got two wifi controllers and am eyeing the s/t6. Coming from the 4 im excited. I also got the smart plugs for my lights and pumps hoping i can automate the whole thing.

Right now it looks great...sitting in the box. ;)

I'll get it all hooked up and working tomorrow I guess...Mrs. L.E.G. had some other ideas and plans for me this evening. On first glance, the controller unit is smaller than I expected, but I assume that's probably why they went to the new smaller connectors.

I thought the same thing. I got one already, i ordered another on the next prerun batch. My hope is to automate two seprate 2x4 tents. One clip on fan, the main exhaust, my light and then my ebb and flow pump(seeing how it only has two ports but ive seen a splitter)

Juat to add the the thread I am very happy with ac infinity stuff. Im in the process of going from the 4in to the 6in setup just so it can run at a lower speed. Thats im so quick to trust them with almoat everything except lights. Hard to beat the hlg 350 so far but i havent had it long

The light thing is a good idea but I'm pretty happy with my HLG's and don't really think I want to change. If there was an optical sensor driven light control for it, I'd be sorely tempted to jump. Yeah, you can use splitters for multiple devices as long as they're sharing the same programming, and I believe you can split a splitter if needed.

I was hoping that just havent found a splitter yet...i havent looked at mine closely but it almost looks like a usb-c

As far as I know, it is. But I haven't played with a regular non-ACI branded cable to see if that's functional or they've just used the cable hardware and it's wired differently at the connectors (things like MIDI cables often do that). The extensions were cheap enough that I bought a few of them anyway, because I'm not sure what kind of cable runs they provide out of the box. Having some extra cable for neat runs is something I appreciate.

I have a 4 inch hydro that I ran with a speed controller. Even turned down it is louder than the 4 inch infinity. Not sure that the infinity actually moved as much air as the hydro but it does work for 2x4 tent, I have since purchased a 6 inch infinity for use in the 4x4 which works great for that size tent. Also the 6 inch infinity is still quieter than 4 inch hydro on all settings with the exception of when its running on high.

Some rebranding here...the Controller 69 WIFI is now the "Controller 69 Pro". Comes with one 'UIS' to molex adaptor and a 12' sensor/cable.

Compared to the old 'digital' controller and the original speed controller (my 67 was still running the fans in my tent):
IMG_4335.jpg

The oscillating 6" fan:
IMG_4336.jpg

The back. the push buttons are to click through the fan speeds the leds in the center circle light up as you increase the speed), and the oscillation button is just on/off:

I do like that its pretty low profile, saving some maneuvering space:

One big update...you can now trigger by VPD, though I'm not quite sure how...I can get to the offset and the 'transition' settings but can't seem to find a place for triggering. That might be dependent on having their 'cloudforge' humidifier to get that setting, or maybe their control plugs to use with your own humidifier/dehumidifier. I've reached out to the company to ask for further details.

That all said, this thing SHOULD have more than 4 individual channels. Something like 8 would be about right if you're triggering intake/exhaust, humidifer/dehumidfier, circulation and/or heat/AC. They've given it the functionality to be able to run a whole bunch of devices independently...but not the connectivity to do it. They need something like a Controller 69 Pro/Max.

If i remember reading in the manual with mine you can split them into some insane number. But only starting with 4 is lame i think. 6 would be great then i could run 2 fans and have a spare. Im prerty stoked for the smart plugs, i hope it makes my lighting schedule and hydro pumps easier to adjust

Whqt fan did you order the auto or manual? The wording on their fans is weird i just want to make sure i order the one that oscillates lol

AC Infinity hit a home run with the new wifi 69 controller. But I agree that 6 or 8 ports would be even better. The controller does way more than I expected when I ordered it. And it looks like they have plans for more connectivity to non AC Infinity products.

I have 2 AC Infinity Cloudline, a 4" in the 3X4 dry tent & a 6" in the 5X5 grow tent. I've never compared them to anything else, but I'm happy with them and see no reason to change. They're very quiet at the lower settings and the noise generated at the higher settings is velocity through the charcoal filter and ductwork, or so it appears. I'm liking them.

You can control your HLG, they have adapters, one for 0-10v/PWM and one for resistance controlled dimming.
What would an optical sensor driven light control do?

About controlling more devices, that model will come out after we all buy the 69 Pro. ;-)

BTW, how do you like the clip fan? Air flow and noise?

The official description on my invoice was:
CLOUDRAY S6, Grow Tent Clip Fan 6” with 10 Speeds, EC-Motor, Auto OscillationAC-CCS6

It's the one that does mechanically oscillate. Note that the oscillation is one speed and it also is not controllable from the app or the controller. You have to manually turn it off/on. So in the controller on that port you see the fan and you can set it similarly to the ventilation fans, temp/humidity triggers, on/off/auto with minimum and maximum speeds.

The thing is if you want your devices to be independently controlled, you (obviously) can't 'gang' them together with a splitter... So my plan was eventually to get another Cloudray for the other side of my tent then alternate them on a schedule to switch up the airflow. That would take two ports, so one could trigger on while the other triggers off, etc.

AC Infinity hit a home run with the new wifi 69 controller. But I agree that 6 or 8 ports would be even better. The controller does way more than I expected when I ordered it. And it looks like they have plans for more connectivity to non AC Infinity products.
They now have 'smart plugs' listed that would give you the ability to control 3rd party devices, but only on/off as far as I can tell...so it could save you from running an Inkbird or two along the way. It looks like they have their own humidifier now so, if you use one of those, you can most likely set VPD triggers and dial in your grow that way.

You can control your HLG, they have adapters, one for 0-10v/PWM and one for resistance controlled dimming.

The point of the optical sensor would be that you could program in the PPFD/DLI on the controller then it could auto-dim or brighten according to what you're looking to see for a week or whatever along the way. No more dialing in dimmers by twisting a knob to adjust voltage, and with a good quantum sensor, it would be more accurate to have it do so automatically. Sort of like how they can now trigger humidifier/dehumidifier by way of picking a VPD and having it trigger and transition up or down accordingly.

I like the fan...it's quiet even in the upper reaches, I currently have it set at 5 and it's creating enough airflow to move the canopy leaves but not really whipping them around. It's way quieter than the Honeywell 6's that were set to the lowest setting and I had X's of 2.5" gaffers tape across the faces of them to knock down the airflow. They were louder than the S6 & T6 ventilation fans even when they were moving at a pretty good clip.

I currently have the ACI fan running for the 18 hours of lights on, then one of the Honeywells kicks in for lights-out.

I think ill be happy with 4 i wanted 5 to run two fans but in a 2x4 i think two may be overkill but id prefer it. For the fan i can double them up. I just love the idea if using the smart plug and controller to finally controll lights pumps and the fan all with wifi. My tents are high on tables and i can barley even read the display anyway.

Just got the notfication my second controller and smart plugs are out for delivery. Cant wait to start playing around with programing
If you've used their other controllers before, jot down your settings, and overall it's super easy to get back up and running. Took me about 10 minutes.

Tomorrow night I'm doing a tent reset...Going to get my 'winter' setup in action, I drop a ACI duct damper at the 'window' end of my duct to keep cold air from pushing in from outside, and install/tape up a cardboard baffle that seals that open window a bit better. I also have a new two stage Active Air 6x24 carbon filter I'll be installing (replacing the Terrabloom 6x16 filter that's currently hanging. I'll replace the MERV13 over my intake duct opening (dropping it down from 2 layers to one layer...and I may re-run lines and cables and adjust the overall setup.

The change to one layer of MERV13 is due to the new controller. I can now run the intake at a lower rate than the exhaust and maintain the right amount of negative pressure, which wasn't possible with the Controller 67 and I had to 'mechanically' damp down the airflow into the tent.
