Nope.... Not ALL strains.. maybe SOME phenos, I've seen a few, but not all.Topping is a waste. Run proper nute profiles and intense light. Side branches will outgrow central column on any strain by week 5
How old are you really?Topping is a waste. Run proper nute profiles and intense light. Side branches will outgrow central column on any strain by week 5
Young or else would already know it is more enjoyable on the bottom. How old are you really?
I just tried that actually, i think I'll top once and supercrop as needed. I just need to get the hang of it. I'm being all gentle with her, but don't realize how rough she can take it. Because they bounced back like i did nothing hahaSo much easier, better, and faster. I have not topped a plant in years.
I top 3 times in a row starting as early as possible. Supercrop starting as early as possible. Lay out the main branches like a wagon wheel. Between the early topping and continuing to supercrop I can keep almost any plant chest high with stems heavy enough to not bend halfway through flower..
I'm going to try three tops to get 8 colas then top the 4 centre colas to get 12 colas total for the plant. I've sniped off the 4 sucker branches at the bottom
I find that the centre colas reach higher because the outer branches have to curve on the bottom. Topping them one extra time might even up the tops.
This gives me 12 colas per plant, 48 colas on 4 plants, for my 4x4 garden. My trellis is 7 x 7 for 49 spaces.
I haven't seen it done before so it could mess things up.

Very nice! How long was the veg? Would love to do a big mama like that one day. But i do like variety for now. Until i find a keeper, I'll just do a miniature version of this.I know I've posted this several times.. but topping and training makes for a more uniform and more productive canopy. This mother plant was topped 4 times... Yield, 2.47 lbs dried, trimmed and cured....7 gallon pot in soil. This was one month before the chop.
