plants were great. i cut to smoke buds. this trim washing is just messing around. i did another run yesterday. i didn't agitate as much. i got 35% of what i got on the prior wash. 2 grams from 3 hours of work is not good. this hash was blonder/pinker. the wash color was amber until the second or third wash.
can't say gentle yields would be worth the effort. the stuff i got from the firs trim was just fine. it's strong and full of resin/trychs.
a little off put by the yield difference between teh purple punch and the bananasapphire. the banana is much frostier and more potent bud to give such a low yield.
The yield difference is largely strain and trichome dependent as different strains produce different size trichome heads and different texture as well some are gooey and full melt some are sandy and grainy
That’s why some strains have the best hash out of the run in the 90u screen and some strains it is in the 73u and I’ve even had my best from one heavy indica hybrid strain was 120u
Keep making bubble in the future and as you go you’ll get the balance of being gentle and re washing materials to get a better yield
I love using the camping washer or washers they sell for hash as they are gentle and allow you to focus on the collection and not stirring til you’re sore the next day
That’s my experience though and you may have different results with different methods and strains as starting material
Frenchy Cannoli was a hash legend RIP and I’ll never forget the advice he gave me in person at the Emerald Cup years ago
He told me to start pressing small amounts of hash by hand to get the feel and appearance down then to try the glass bottle with hot water inside to press the hash in turkey bags for larger amounts to decarb and activate the resin heads it was hard to understand bud heavy French accent over the blasting rap music in the venue but I still use those techniques he mentioned every time I make a good batch
I used to follow bc bubbleman and his technique but I prefer the tech Frenchy used and popularized
