Defoliation has its time and place …… just sayin lol.
A few laws will take care of the threats and terrorism, other problems will have to die a little more with each election cycle. The FBI is keeping a close eye on these clowns and they are riddled with informants, they are now on the wrong side of the national security and law enforcement community. If the democrats win in November and provides the tools the FBI needs to deal with them, they will make quick work of them. I figure they are gonna end up worse than commies did in the 50's, as far as the FBI goes, the left didn't do near as much terrorism or threaten FBI agents as these clowns do.

Are you nuts! It would bring down the power grid and there would be nothing left of the fucker but ashes and vaporized bullshit. I go for burning at the stake on the capitol hill lawn, invite his fans and pass out marshmallows, patriots can circle around the roaring flames singing the national anthem. Make a show of it, Donald will want a big crowd and high ratings! Burn a few of his henchmen as a warm up first and have a guy dressed as Uncle Sam light the flames.
i don't know...burning someone that full of methane seems like a potentially explosive situation...would you want to clean up all the bullshit that would rain down if trump exploded?

I thought that 6 years ago..........still waiting.
that was 6 years and a thousand embarrassments ago, that was 6 years and a failed insurrection ago, that was 6 years and a national security scandal ago...mitch mcturkeyneck has turned his back on trump, refusing to waste money on his candidates, ignoring his jackass brayings...and like it or not, mcconnel runs the non insane( i know, they're all crazy, but there's different levels and kinds of crazy) part of the gop, and he's not about to hand those reins over to trump or anyone else

They fully expect the armed forces to join their side.

That's how dumb they are.
they might have had a reason to think that a couple of years ago, but there has been some shaking up in the military over the past couple of years, and i don't think even the most radical members will turn against the legitimate government. if they do, they'll be hunted down and tried. desertion is still desertion, refusing a direct lawful order is still grounds for imprisonment...
the magats keeps saying "America wants this!" and "America wants that!"...but they don't realize that they're about ten percent of the population of the country...
43% of the country identify as republican or republican leaning....only about 30% of republicans are actually magats....that's about 10-12% of the country. the stupidest 10-12% of the country. i'm not too worried about their civil war.

honestly, i don't care if they're bluffing anymore...they're like putin's nukes....old, wornout, obsolete, but still just dangerous enough to not turn your back on...the best thing to do in a situation like that is eliminate the threat.
with extreme prejudice.
I think Joe's style is to use the professionals and strangle the fucker slowly, just like Putin, no sudden moves to spook his base, just slowly and methodically use him to blead the republicans white. Mitch does not want to carry Donald into the midterms, with the election being all about him for the GOP, while the democrats wait for the courts to speak and focus on abortion and economic issues. Mitch and Foxnews wants to spin the issues, flood the media with disinformation and make it a referendum on Biden, not Trump! Donald will be like a bull in Mitch's China shop thrashing around in a panic and looking for a way out of a trip to the slaughterhouse. The search warrant has got Donald and his minions worried, now he has to turn that worry into action and needs control of the republican party and it's messaging apparatus as never before.

If Garland wanted Trump out of the way he would already be wearing an orange jumpsuit and would have been arrested after the search of Mar A Logo, as he was leaving the grand jury in NY.

I think the number is at least double that. And I'm sure that there are more than a few military commanders that are greatly concerned about our precious bodily fluids being tainted. But it won't go well for them.

Pardon me for getting basic about this, but: there’s a big difference between electorate and population, and the overthrow pre-party spent years doing everything they could to inflate their apparent numbers.

In ‘16 they were at their electoral peak, but in ‘20, there was a significant drop-off in participation. From 40+% of strong support in the voting booth, their core support has dwindled by my estimates to 20-25% hard core, “MAGA” support. I expect that number to fall even farther over ’22-‘24 - I doubt it will go as low as 15, but sub-20% seems inevitable. With the treasonites in government and party/adjacent jobs at every level, the DIN will not reduce, but noise is not numbers: the more the screws turn on OO, the louder and more unhinged things will get…but the weaker their support will get simultaneously.

Not all conservatives are “conservative”: many take their sweet time changing their opinions, and many will find themselves driven away by the flagrant radical nature of the overthrow crew - and the blatant criminality being uncovered by the bucketful. In no way does this mean that the newly-disaffected will vote blue en masse…but many will stay home, as they did in ‘20 - and fewer will vote for MAGA down ballot as the stench invades all candidates.

As to the ‘civil war’ equation, I don’t see it as likely, at least not in the ways I see folks talking about. The most I can reduce the danger to numbers, it still adds up to ~1000 well-armed & wrong-headed potential lone-wolves PER STATE. That’s enough to create a shit-ton of serious problems all over the country for…a while. What the impact may be long term of all the screws coming loose on the overthrow machine is beyond my powers, but that’s a lot of freakin’ gorillas to round up.

The ex-president is ready to "burn down the republic" if need be to stop prosecutors from going after him, according to a former GOP congressman.

it might be as high as 20%, although that seems awfully high to me...but how many of those are even capable of fighting? https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/religious-landscape-study/compare/age-distribution/by/state/among/party-affiliation/republican-lean-rep/
at least half of the republican base is over 50, and at least 20% is over 65.
how many aren't willing to fight? how many are cowards? how many are too poor to travel?.....still not worried about the great magat revolt...the most revolting thing about them is their beliefs.

that was a pathetic attempt at a coup...they're just rowdy fucking rednecks playing soldier....when a few dozen of them get shot by the national guard, the biggest part of them will panic and run, the few hard core ones will be killed, and the movement will be broken...trumps army sucks just as much as he does, fucking gravy seals

This historian points out that a big difference in government today compared to when Mussolini and Hitler's days is "there’s no question that the civil service—especially in Germany, where democracy was linked to economic crises and the defeat of the [First World] War—was opposed to democracy. And that’s simply not the case in the United States."

He says that explains the difference in outcome between Hitler's success and Trump's failure when they attempted to overthrow democracy and institute fascism in its place. But it's not over and the creep to fascism or MAGA ,the party of violence, antidemocracy, and racism, continues at the state and local levels.

That said, the last president did try—and it seems Republican parties locally as well as on the state level are trying—to put public officials into office who don’t have democracy as a value, who believe violence is a legitimate part of public discourse, which it obviously isn’t. It’s a form of politics that is deeply disturbing, because it means the Republican Party has allied itself with antidemocratic values, violence, and racism.

So we have to do more to defend decent political leaders and civil servants from this crowd as the enemy burrows deeper into our government.

sometimes starfish invade a fishery, destroying shellfish and traps...when this first happened, fishermen learned a valuable lesson. they chopped the starfish up and threw them back in the water, intending to feed the fisheries they had damaged, but they didn't know that each piece will regenerate into a new, hungry star fish...they started burning the starfish and using the ashes as fertilizer...
i think there's a valuable lesson there in how to handle magats

I gotta agree with him when he said you can’t deny his Trump genes
No clue how he thinks it’s a strong point View attachment 5188236
I *especially* love that last bit:
“What less in does this teach us. We are nurturing incompetence, irresponsible behavior and punishing the opposite.”

Talk about your nurtured incompetence & irresponsible behavior! Junior, predictably blind to the massive shortcomings of his entire family, must make a point of avoiding mirrors….
