Damn straight I love sending other peoples kids to collage as I worry about how I’m going to send my own. You know what I don’t think I’ve been as generous as I could be I’m going to call and see if I can’t just pay more in taxes

Current estimates are this would cause more inflation than the inflation production act is "poised" to reduce in 10 years.

Who wouldn't want to vote for Santa?

To "forgive" student loans by dumping them on others. Because a janitor should for sure have to pay for upper middle class kids educations.
This is a drop in the bucket compared to the trillions in tax cuts the republicans gave to the uber rich. The republicans dropped those taxes right on to the poor janitors shoulders...

If you don't like "current estimates" then you could just examine the principle of transferring college debt to those who chose not to go.
Riiight, because people with college education are not paying taxes right?

A college graduate pays, on average, $328,511 in lifetime taxes (federal income, state income, property, and sales); high school graduates contribute an average of $136,564. A college education leads to increased giving to charities.

maybe the janitor can now afford to send his kids to college instead of just giving billionaires tax breaks.
I doubt that this helps many janitors out. It's true that it helps out mostly middle upper-class kids. It's also true that it's better than all the bailouts we've given banks and the oil industry over the years, if you wanna play the "which is worse" game.
