“You knew I was a Snake before you took me in.”

“When someone tells you who they are, believe them.”
Well, yes. I did believe him when he told me who he was but could not stop others from taking him in.

When we managed to turn the snake out the people who believed what he said tried to take over the house. They still are. They can't see the snake for what it is.

When you’re a snake you assume everyone else is too.

True, that.

But look at the jackass's weasel words:

"Besides, if it's not a thing, then why the eff did Biden revoke it to enable the raid?

Like what's to revoke? There is clear correspondence of this revocation between the White House and NARA.

The only question is can current POTUS revoke formers privilege. And that is unprecedented, and will be an issue for the Supreme Court. "

He framed his argument assuming Trump's executive privilege and Biden's action as "revoking" that privilege. As if Biden is doing dirty to the poor former president who is being persecuted. Grievance politics writ large. Only while in office did Trump have executive privilege and immunity from prosecution for crimes he commits while in office. After he Jan 20, 2020, citizen Trump had neither. The Jackass is intellectually dishonest. His post begins with a lie and builds upon it.

Maybe he fooled himself. Nobody else was fooled.
Good catch, I thought he was trolling about when Biden told the National Archives to give the jan 6th committee the visitor logs Trump was trying to hide.

Actually, Presidential Executive Privilege is held by the current president and only the current president. Over the past year-plus that he's been in office, Biden has refused to invoke executive privilege to shield Trump. That is very different from what you said in your weasel words.

"Once Trump ceased being president, all executive privilege passed from him to President Joe Biden. Only the sitting president can assert executive privilege, and Biden has made it clear that he will not lift a finger to shield Trump (the “FPOTUS”) from prosecution by the Department of Justice."

Do the crime, do the time. Same for you, me and Citizen Donald Trump. Don't like the idea that Trump is facing justice? Cry me a river.
It's a nice theory and all but the only bit of case law there is on the topic states the exact opposite.

So you’re ok with a president doing whatever he wants and answering to no one? Sounds more like you want a King and not a president. If he did nothing wrong, they will find nothing and he will run again in 2024. Big IF
Literally the last 5 presidents have have determined what is or is not their records, classified or not and taken them home if they please. The only recourse if you don't like it is civil suit. Affirmed by a very left of center DC circuit judge.

And your test works both ways. Are you OK with law enforcement with a boot through your door for doing exactly what others do but only you are getting raided with no criminal charges being filed first?

How about a boot through your door so they can search just to see if anything is wrong? Is that cool with you and yours at home?

Maybe they just take all your files and computers for 6 months and look them over for wrong doing, you've got nothing to hide so that's perfectly awesome right?

Nice try, but unfortunately for you the facts are now well known. trump was repeatedly asked to return sensitive material that didn’t belong to him and he refused. He lied and said all sensitive material was returned when it wasn’t. A legal search warrant was obtained and the lie was exposed.

And Trump is not the president, so doesn’t have that ability, which is the problem.

If he wanted something after he left, he should have cleared it with the national archives.

He has no reason to have anyimportant documents that are not in the public record since Trump is just a private citizen with zero role that would require him to have them.

Trump files nonsensical brief attacking DOJ/Mar-a-Lago search warrant; Judge tells him to try again

52,401 views Aug 24, 2022 Donald Trump's legal team - acting more like a public relations team - files an embarrassingly incompetent legal brief, captioned "Motion for Judicial Oversight and Additional Relief." Trump's motion reads more like a fundraising email than a legal filing. In it, Trump repeatedly asserts that he is the clear front-runner in the 2024 presidential election, he brags that his "Mar-a-Lago mansion" has 33 bathrooms" and he has an entire section of the brief under the heading, "The Government Has Long Treated Donald J. Trump Unfairly." No, you can't make this up.

The judge who has been assigned this matter - Judge Aileen Cannon - is a Trump appointee who was confirmed by Mitch McConnell's Senate AFTER Trump lost the 2020 election. Still, even Judge Cannon makes clear her view of Trump's motion by demanding he "file a supplement to the Motion further elaborating on" several aspects of the legal filing. In substance, Judge Cannon signals to Trump that his defense team should withdraw the legal trash they filed, and file a competent legal pleading.
