Strange Problems please help

A common theme in most threads like this. People feeding well below recommended dosage, wondering why their plants are severely deficient. Observe your plants and adjust accordingly, dont just feed at 1/4 strength for some arbitrary reason.
One has to start somewhere, yes? For a couple of my plants in veg, one round at that strength was enough to bring the color back. More of a common theme is the snarky attitude around here.

Just a heads up on the coco loco. Thats a coco mix that is treated like living soil not straight coco it has nutes in it to last up to 4 weeks. PH 6.3- 6.8. If your wanting to go straight buffered coco/perlite and stick with FF brand go with cultivation nation 70/30. Has no nutes in it. Im not a coco grower but from what ive gathered its definitely more hands on and time consuming but with great and fast results. Also your girls look very hungry.

(Bush Doctor Coco Loco Potting Soil by Foxfarm is one crazy little mix that's chock-full of the best coconut coir available. Also includes plenty of good stuff like aged forest products, perlite, earthworm castings, bat guano, Norwegian kelp meal, oyster shell and dolomite lime.)

Thanks for your interest Root. Those 3 look hungry yes, but those are the worst 3 of the 9 that I have. In the past that would never happen with fox farm ocean. This is my first grow in 10 years, but I have one test plant that came out great. In my opinion, fox farm ocean is garbage compared to what it was 10 years ago. I can show you the 3 in coco loco and even at half strength they are almost perfect under exact same conditions. To me the coco loco does what ocean used to do, even more. May not finish perfect but can carry to the end with no additional nutes. I am still fairly new to the nutrient game but I know what I am doing. Smoking some results right now, godfather OG....it is excellent. I will also say, that the ocean does much better in 7 gallon pots than 3 gal(but that was not the case before). Next grow will be all coco loco and perlite but I am open to trying a dry mix in the future.

I should had added even though those 3 are lacking in nutes they still look good especially for a 10 year break! Coco loco is good soil i was going to switch to it last grow but its hard for me to get where im located. Good luck and good job my friend!

If you flush you are doing exactly what we (the growers) told you was wrong.
We have offered the best advice we could. Take it or leave it.

Were the instructions to flush every 2 weeks given to you by a grower or someone trying to sell you their products?
FoxFarms hydro feeding schedule has people overfeeding and then flushing every two weeks so they can sell more products.

I hear you, nute directions are like dog food directions. Dog would be 200 pounds on 6-8 cups a day. However, do you think there is any value in the fox farm line at all? Say you used that schedule on half or quarter strength, every other watering. What then? Or do you prefer dry nutes? Trying to learn here.

I use the FF trio. I go half strength and do feed, water, feed. Sometime ls ill do an extra water in there just to wash some of the salts away.

Thanks Root. So the danger in going beyond half would be possibility of tasting bad?
Possibility of nutrition burn/toxicity of nutrients. Always work your way up. I havent needed to go past 1/2 dose yet. Idk about the whole makes the flower taste weird and all that from what i can see its an ongoing debate that has to do with flushing as well. I feed up until the last week of life and after that its just water and thats because im about to chop down and skipping a feeding doesnt seem to slow down anything in the end.

Thanks Root I appreciate the info. Sounds good I am still on 1/4. If anybody does well going beyond half strength every other feed, please let me know.

To me they just look a bit hungry. A top dress with fresh Ocean Forest and some EWC should push them across the finish line.
Glad to have learned a new technique, thank you Bull. In just a few days the green is returning after a top dress with EWC Awesome!

Im sure people do go beyond 1/2 but i work up to half dose and if my plants look like they are healthy then thats where i stop. If your giving them to much they will tell you by tips of leaves being burnt. If they need more they will tell you by lightening up in color. No problem man you need anything just ask!

I really don’t know that much about growing pot but that’s why I chase all the problems, offer what I can, and watch what you experienced tell people. You can get a book full of answers before you have questions.

If you do use FF trio and follow the feeding chart, i suggest not using grow big throughout your whole grow. Could give nitrogen toxicity in my experience when using it in flower. Once I hit flowering stage i stop using it. Tiger bloom has enough nitrogen to get you through flower. Other than that ive had good results so far using it!

Thanks Root I appreciate the info. I have a friend using the trio under similar conditions, same light same clones. I have the whole line so I have us both starting at 1/4 to compare results. Not saying my way is better, just trying to establish a baseline. Only using nutes in bloom stage.
