A lot of Oregon Green Seed genetics finish before the first week of October. If you’re not opposed to sexing your plants, they’re pretty spot on with their claims of finishing times. Most other seed banks not so much.

Yeah, I've been looking at OGS for a couple years for summer outdoors, but have been put off by the their regs-only philosophy. I did finally pulled the trigger on the pack of A. Hashplant regs, so will be working over the winter to make some feminized seeds. It's baffling and frustrating that OGS doesn't seem to understand the value and attraction of fem seeds. As a rec grower, I can pop 4 reg seeds and not know until it's too late to start more that I'm the lucky dad of 4 boys. Hell, a sativa dominant that finishes in Sept; if they sold fems, it's probably all I'd grow outdoors.

When I was growing photos outdoors I did a bunch of OGS seeds. Amnesia Hashplant was my favorite, a really excellent plant with a decent end of September finish. You are spot on about running fem seeds, one summer I planted 8 OGS' strain plants in the garden and ended out with only 3 girls! Making your own fem seeds from AH is an excellent idea!
Here are some pics of my Amnesia Hashplant from 2017, in the fall I put together a structure from extra lumber I had recycled to keep the rain off of it...

If those photos were taken in September, then yeah, the AH is a strain I've been looking for. Nice.

The pictures were taken on 9-13, 9-15, the last one of the bud was from 9-22. It came down in two cuts, the final one was the 9-27.
In the first picture you can see there are two main bases, that's because I was doing an experiment that year. Since they were regular seeds, I planted three or four seeds near enough to each other that they would form a 'cluster' that appeared as a single plant. Then when they showed sex, I culled the males before they matured, and the remaining females would look like a single stocky plant. So that's why there are two main trunks, I had planted three but one was a boy so it was removed. This method may not have worked with all the strains, but it worked well with the AH (that's a longer story).

Anyone tried the "fast" genetics offered by Seedsman and others? The promise of a 7-week flowering period and a September harvest have my attention.

They have strains that most other seed banks carry. I got my Humboldt Seed Co. seeds from Hembra Genetics. They’re a CA seed bank and ship super fast with fair prices.

Pretty much. They’re start to show around second week of August depending on the strain. You’d probably be safe starting a couple weeks earlier. You can also find ready to flower teens sometimes on craigslist.

Thanks I'm going to try and build a greenhouse for my wife's flowers to start in the early spring , so it will be sitting empty in August through Christmas so inwas thinking I could go get some clones from pdxweedz and stick them in these pots I have and sit them on the lawn in the sunshine and when rain is in the forecast I'll grab them and bring them under the greenhouse, and see if I can make.it to harvest keeping them dry , the idea of keeping them smaller is So I can move them more easily, usually pdzweedz has clones anywhere from 6 inches to about 2 feet, but they are under low power florescent lights and are sting beans hahha, maybe half way through July so they get better roots and I can train them a little before they flower?

If you do that, transition them into direct sunlight, going from any man made light source to intense sunlight in August will result in sunburn and set your plants back.
You might consider popping a few feminized seeds in July and letting those go. Start them in 16oz Dixie cups, repot into 3-5 gallon fabric bags and you should be good to go.

Mine don’t seem to mind, growing like crazy. Though I am 60 miles east of PDX. We’re getting rain but not like the metro area.

My plants are still indoors under lights in 1.75 liter pots. I'm in no hurry to put them outside. I do need to transplant them into 3 gallon pots though which will be their final. I don't want big plants. I'm trying to keep them under 4 ft. They've been topped once. I'll do some training when I transplant.
