I believe I found the solution for my Window.

So, I've been using aluminum Auto shades with velcro to sort of somewhat create a micro environment in the window to be somewhat like a grow tent but that hasn't really been working out the way I hoped.

Too much temperature fluctuation and keeping the environment separate from my room.

I still like the aluminum for reflectivity and I'm going to use it still but in its place on top first for the first layer in the window I'm going to use a zip door.

And once I secure the zip door to the window there shouldn't be any air gaps except for just a little bit of vent at the bottom because I do want some air to come in there.

I'll then put the aluminum Auto shades back on top to aid in light reflectivity.

The zipper door will be very convenient to open and water my plants and then close everything again.

This will allow for a much tighter seal than before.

That is how you get condensation and mold. You never want to cover windows like that.

Agree I remember back in the day when all the hard ware stores were selling those window plastic draft kits the elderly were installing ….not good.

I am not going to seal in the window completely.

Just trying to get better temperature control.

I haven't had a problem with mold so far.

Dont underestimate the amount of water that your plants will transpire. You need ventilation in there

I've got proper ventilation and a fan.

There's already some air coming from the outside.

That's why I can't keep my temperatures consistent without running the heater extra.

Wow there is so much cringe here……..I wish you luck and hope you don’t get electrocuted, a fire or mold. This is what leftovers wrapped in foil must feel like.

Everything is behind the zip wall covered in plastic.

There's no risk of electrical problems now.
