Great I’ll have a read tonight
Iv just had a brief read on topping and low stress pal it does say let the plant dry out before bending the main stem I didn’t really wanna let them dry out seeing as there in coco can I just use topping as I’d feel more comfortable doing that this time round rather than getting too involved with the lst ect

Morning pal thought I’d quote this to you as you’ve most definitely been a life saver I topped my girls last night all is still looking well My new fan and filter will be arriving next week along with my ballast and hps gonna throw it all together next weekend then give my girls a couple of weeks to adjust before transplanting my question is iv been using bottled water for my girls is this necessary or could I use tap water fill my 5litre drums up and use this water when I make a batch of feed I’m in Manchester I used my ppm meter and the ppm reading was around 40 for my tap water £1.20 for a 5litre bottle of water isn’t the end of the world but over time this is gonna add up especially when I’m maybe using 2 5litre drums a week of course this will increase the more my girls grow

Mineral water is a big no no.

it has lots of salt in it.

So you should never have been using it In the first place.

40ppm is beautiful tap water.

Unless you're using a magnetic ballast all of the newer digital ballasts can run both MH and HPS. They're also dimmable. A sealed hood in a tent is a must and go with a 6 inch fan with speed controller and a 6 inch filter.

Good luck

That’s great atleast my hps will sorta be a one stop light all the way through from what iv heard about hps they need to be fairly high due to the heat so keep the hps pretty high you’d say?
Well i always use em start to finish they work fine for veg and bloom people been doing it for along time using hps jesus back in the day folk were stealing streetlights and using them lol not ideal but you use what ya can get

I’ll start using tap water then thank you do I need to let it sit overnight?
Yes or whats better a big bucket or bin filled with water and a pump/airstone that helps get rid of the chloramine that they use these days mostly rather than straight chlorine to treat tap water thats not needed yet just a idea for the future for now yeah leave ur water out a minimum 24 hours mate and ul be sound you aint growing in organics so its less of a issue for you vs someone who is as in that case it can mess with your microherd

my first go around indoor growing I topped once. Just read read read and keep reading. Sometimes info seems repetitive but there may be something else you pick up from it. I’m still very new in my eyes to indoor growing. It’s a very hands on approach over outdoor. I love lst because it helps with air flow wich prevented wpm for me. I’ve learned multiple new things from every grow I’ve done and that has been what’s molded my style. Don’t give up and don’t take all advice

Fairs I posted a pic on here the other day of the fan and filter that’s coming I’m gonna have that hooked up to exhaust some heat and stale air would you say I’d need the sealed hood with a filter hooked up to the also to reduce the heat even more or will the one in the the tent be sufficiently with the hps
