Nothing wrong with cheap meters as long as you do weekly calibrations and keep the pH pens in KCL storage solution.

My cheap "Noname" one I got has lasted me as long as my old Bluelabs pen. It's more important how you calibrate and store your pens than any branding IMO. If the meter is repeatable accurate to 0.01, does the price really matter?

Last a long time??? What do you consider a long time? I was gifted one that had only been used for a year. When I tried to calibrate it it would not calibrate.

Bluelabs products rocks. Had my old pen for well over 10 years. I dont buy any branded storage solutions though. 23.3g of KCL in 100ml of RO water is what you pay money for. I bought 1kg potassium chloride which will probably last me a lifetime.
