I’ve eaten poke every day, sometimes twice a day, for almost two weeks now.
My gut is starting to protest.
Gonna have to do a little teriyaki or stir fry noodles tonight.
Must be nice. There's so much jealousy dripping off me there's a pool of it collecting at my feet.

I've been getting up early to put the Hummingbird feeders out right at light because I've been bringing them in at night so they don't freeze. Then I've been bringing them in to thaw back out several times in the morning because they freeze back up. It's been in the 20's overnight here. You're definitely not missing this weather.

Enjoy yourself.

If you increase the percent of sugar to water it won’t freeze
Many years ago I saw some things when I was in Miami that I wish I hadn't. I should have stayed away from the beach. It was nothing like the Oregon Coast.
In Oregon you guys still have to wear clothes it’s not like Huntington or Miami. Didn’t they refer to them, Speedos, as budgie smugglers?

The water also never gets above 60°F. I've been in the ocean along the Florida Coast and it's like a Hot Tub compared to the Northern Oregon Coast. You're not wading out up to your chest without a wetsuit. I've gone out up to my waist though wearing neoprene waders when fishing for Surf Perch though.

Ouch! I bet Great Whites love that. I surfed Huntington Beach all my youth and it felt very cold. We aren't as warm down here as FL, Costa Rica or HI. My son bought a home on the coast just above San Diego and he surfs almost daily. He, like me, wears a 1/2 wetsuit. I never took mine off during summer LOL. I'm a bit of a sissy about cold water.

How do Surf Perch taste? Please don't tell me you threw them back. I'm still struggling with that concept.

I'm going to try to make tempura battered shrimp with stir fried vegetables. Wish me luck...lol.
I need to experiment with the batter next time and add more spices to it, just salt and pepper was kind of bland. I think it needs a little heat. I also found out that it would probably be best to use new oil when cooking it, any leftover floaties in the oil adheres to the batter really well. Not food porn worthy.

i love tempura veggies too at a japanese restaurant. not sure what that kinda brownish, very thin dipping sauce is called though.
