Anybody ever use Rain Rings?

I can't seem to find it, but I remember reading that the Growtek can pump waste water too. Since I'm going to be using rockwool I may recirculate the water. How does that work? Do you buy another pump, tie it into a drain system and run it wherever? Can you setup the brain to cause a delayed drain a few minutes after the feeding, to do a flood to waste type setup?

I never bought that option as I already have my drainage system in place , but the brain can control to pump wastewater at whatever time you tell it to, just like the feed.

I'm using these Dutch leach trays and they have 1/2" elbow drains, so I could easily tie them together using silicon tubing. Plus I wouldn't have to put the leach trays on stands to let them drain with gravity, so my plants would be about as low profile as humanly possible.

Point these puppies upward and boom. The surface for the base of my plants would start about 5" off of the floor of my tent. That's record setting lowness.

Since getting this system my life has been super easy. There were days I wouldn’t even go into my flower room as I see it on the app that everything is running smoothly

It’s comforting to know that if I decide to go back to 3 gallon pots, I’ll just have to buy more rings instead of boxing it up and sticking it into a closet like all of the rest of my failed automated systems.

Fuck it, I’m grabbing one at the end of the month.

I put them on early so I don’t have to muck about when they head into the flower room

These are the 6” I believe, I also have the 8” too which are just a little too big for these 7.5L pots I’ll be flowering in this run.

what about their 7” version? I’m trying to decide what size to pickup, might just get a few of all three, 6/7/8”.

I'm excited about this. I think I'm going to sell my Blumat setup to recoup on the cost. I have 50 something carrots, a pressure reducer, a bunch of ball valves, various fitting and some leftover 8mm tubing if I'm not mistaken. I only used them a couple of times and they are practically brand new. I should be able to fetch a decent down payment.

It must be difficult to get much more convenient with such a good coverage they're top class.
Unfortunately they don't ship to the UK :-(
Have you thought about using a re-shipping service? I use one to get stuff off Amazon that is currently unavailable/doesn't deliver to my area. I have found postage is about the same but you need to factor in any taxes, levies, duties etc from your country.
Basically your order is shipped to a US address, then shipped off to you from there. For me it only adds a few days to usual shipping times.

That's cool... Wished I could utilize something like this (the app).. but living where I live, Internet access is hit and miss. Hugesnet sucks. Can't even watch Netflix most of the time. Im blistering along here at 18mbps. Thinking about signing up for Elon's StarLink. I think it's $99 deposit, $499 for the equipment when the service is available in your area, and $99 a month. Supposed to be 100-150mbps. The house is ..meh, ok.... but the grow is almost zero reception on a cell once you get in there.

My internet is pretty shoddy too. I've been thinking about getting Starlink myself. They lost a bunch of satellites from a geomagnetic storm the other day though.

That's what I read. I can't remember how many he's planning on setting up, but I saw a group of 60 sats a couple of months ago while sitting in the field at 2 am.... I was bored...but it was damn cool!. No moon, and I live way out in the country.

in the process of setting up a grow RTW system for 6 x flower/trees in a new grow room set up , went to purchase 20 x Growtek USA rings - cant buy as web site shut down a shame as have 3 rooms all hand watering 2-3 times a day in 3-5 gallon fab pots ( takes to long)..
Having a gander at the following item from Netafirm, constructive feed back would be great on the products or if any one has used the brand

This is like the third time I got excited about Growtek only to be reminded they went under. I’ll see you guys again in 2 months.
Growtek sold an adapter to run his 12v pumps off the 24v output of a sprinkler timer he recomended. Those pumps are also available in 24v for $10-$15 and the timer is around $60 for 8 channels.
