Neil Young makes a stand against misinformation

So many people are canceling their subscription to spotify that it's crashed their computer system, so they've stopped letting people cancel. They can keep Rogan, maybe he'll be worth something in bankruptcy court.
all they have to do is go to their account and cancel the cards they had on file for the reoccuring billing( as a billing option, not at their bank)...they'll drop you like a hot rock themselves if you aren't giving them money

It would be a perfect picture of a Republicunt if there were more guns.
the funny thing is the neckbeards think Carhartt gives a flying fuck about their opinions...they won't even be one percentage point of profits to a company as well established and loved as Carhartt, but if it makes em feel like they're making a difference, i say let em waste their time, thats just less opportunities for them to do something that might actually cause some harm

Billionaire Hippy, yeah right, only music I hear is the rich getting richer and the hypocrites becoming more vocal.
It’s the solipsism that really irks especially when it’s missed by many, the “look at me being principled” when really Young is weaponising the vaccines to attack someone with whom he disagrees, referring to himself in the third person as an unconscious nod to his iconic status.
He’s mega fucking rich, he should be feeding the homeless not behaving like a petulant twat.
why is it his responsibility to do what our government should have been doing for decades? he's a performer, trying to protest something he doesn't believe in...which is exactly what we're doing here, but at least people will hear about his protest, we just protest to each other all day...

So the man who’s music was a rallying cry for social justice, the man who, over generations donated large portions of his time and money to countless charities, the man who stands by his principles at the risk of negative financial impact, is a giant piece of shit.

Tough crowd.

This whole topic came up at work this week. Coworkers said "he's Canadian but I'm still surprised he came out as anti-American". I said waitaminit... I'm an American and I don't find he stance anti-American at all. The guy said "I mean real American".

the balls on these people.

Apparently being a real American now means saying whatever the fuck you want without consequences as long as you are "one of the 'good' ones.

The confederacy of dunces grows. They are winning.

They'll forget about it, then replace what they destroyed. It reminds me of the hysteria (south) and destruction of Beatles records.

They are winning.
only if you let them...they're already a minority, just an annoying minority, like a loose tooth that won't fall the fuck out...just stick it out and they'll fall back into ignorant, beer guzzling nascar watching complacence while they just go extinct

I just checked a few of my Spotify playlists. The Neil Young songs still play but when I view the album, all songs except the ones I downloaded are not playable.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out and how many others join this protest. I could see groups like Pearl Jam doing the same and I wonder how many of my playlists will be affected.

Barry Manilow’s decision won’t have any impact on my playlists. :)

As a consumer, I have choices. So do the artists. Fuuuuk Spotify.

@DurumGallico , do you even know what Cancel Culture originally meant?

Boycotts. An agreement to boycott brands that either directly or indirectly support the inhumane treatment of people or degradation of the environment.

You can't stop people for not attending a concert or buying a product. Stop wasting your and our time with your vacuous arguments and get vaccinated, idiot.
