Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

So , I have been lurking here on this thread, and a couple similar to this. And one thing I am a bit confused about is the color=K of the strips used?
I want to build an all around full spectrum veg/flower fixture.
So the 3500K strips are for a vegg, use?
And the red660nm, deep red7__nm
Is the diodes suppling the flower spectrum?
Thank you in advance

The K means Kelvin, 3500k is the norm for full cycle. Most qb board style lights are a mix of 3k-5k with 660nm reds sprinkled in. Doing these bar style diy you can pick whatever. Higher K , 4-5k= more blue in the spectrum which keeps plants shorter w/ tighter internodes. Use during seeding/Veg stage.
Lower K, 2700-3500k= more red in the spectrum which promotes growth(stretch) and flower. There's more to it but that's the basics.
for example I veg w/ a mix of 3.5-5k and add some royals 450nm to keep them shorter/bushier. Then switch to 3-3.5k for Veg and add 660nm/ir/uva/b during flower. Hopefully others chime in , everyone has there own way.:joint:

Thank you
I look forward to the link.
3500k is fine for start to finish with nothing added. Here’s the link mentioned.

You can use most of the different spectrums for vegging.
I've used 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and 3000K + 660nm + 720nm for vegging. They all work.
4000K is great for vegging. Keeps the plants short and squat.
I've haven't tried 5000K yet for veg.

A good all round spectrum for veg and flower is 3500K .

I don't advise 4000K for flowering. Too much blue, in my opinion. I found it produced more leafy buds.

So a strip build of just 3500k is good germ to harvest.
I currently have a Hydro-Crunch burple fixture. It is really lacking in power. And I have the soldering skills and good tools to put one of these lamps together, just haven't done one. And I am currently in my first grow, 3 weeks from flip, so I want to see what kind of trouble I can get into with a 4x4 build.

So have been looking at the ARROW ELECTRONICS website. And as another member here had said, it is maddening on a mobile device.
I want to build a fixture for my 4x4, what is a good middle of the road strip, using the 3500k chips, at or above 72 diodes per strip. I want to run 380 to 400w for my tent.
Thank you in advance

Arrow has some old L09 strips for under $4 each. Someone might have a link to something comparable price wise but better. These are 3500k and are the strips I used, 54 of them.

I've done 12qty. Butted back to back x 6 bars. Wired all in parallel, wasn't bad. Those strips max out at 65w ish but you lose lm/w higher you run them. If you ran 12 at 50w max you'd be rocking a 4x4 at 600w-37.5w/sqft. while still keeping decent lm/w.

What about heat? I mean 30w/Sq2
That must use a pretty robust sink?
Do you have a pic of the unit?
What driver did you use for it?

The double rows I use actual heatsinks from alberko a company near me. They have website https://heatsinkonline.com/
For less wattage 20-30w I just use aluminum U bars, not pretty but who cares. I meant 16 strips before 8 bar.
I've done a few lights but here are the 2 used in larger areas. One in use now I bought a shell from PLC and did some mods to make the strips fit. That one has the double row strips , but also a bunch of singles "q-m-h" that I doubled up. Drivers are meanwells 240w-ab. And a couple MW hlg-150

16- L09's - drivers are Autech 400w x 2
