I have never checked a runoff pH. And that's just the half of it. I feel sorry for everyone making it harder on themselves.
I only use my pH meter if I'm running a reservoir for hydro or coco. In other words an inert medium completely different from soil. Soil gets tap water straight from the faucet. I use water from the Fairbanks municipal water system. Haul every drop 45 miles. I ain't pouring it through coco. It doesn't get left out or boiled. I don't use molasses or humic acid or yadda.I only use my pH meter if I'm running a reservoir for hydro or coco. In other words an inert medium completely different from soil. Agreed.Hell no. Neither were all the nutrients. This has gotten way out of hand with all the technocrap. Some of these posts would discourage anyone. And it can be so simple and fun. And much less expensive.
Damn. That's a long haul just for water.I use water from the Fairbanks municipal water system. Haul every drop 45 miles. I ain't pouring it through coco. It doesn't get left out or boiled. I don't use molasses or humic acid or yadda.
I've got an EC meter from my DWC days. Haven't used it since. And pH? We're not mixing rocket fuel.
It's 20F above 0 today. First time we've been over 0 in 5 weeks. This is stress to me. Just ensuring I have enough water for Pro Mix. Summer is one thing. Winter another. 6 gallons is freezing in the cans by the time I get home at -20 or colder.Damn. That's a long haul just for water.

For anything. Groceries. Fuel. Water! Live in a 1-room dry cabin southwest of Fairbanks. The well water around here is orange. At best. Extremely hard. All wells are shallow because of permafrost. In fact today I'm celebrating. We're above 0 F for the first time in 5 weeks and I'm repairing this shit diesel truck to head to town this week. Before we go back to -30.45miles for water?!
Yeah nah i know a bit about what you got going on but that's a huge ass haul in bad conditions...you cant do snowmelt? I assume those 45miles arent gorgeous paved asphalt either lol. I have melted hundreds of shovel loads of snow on the woodstove. It's a fools errand. If you want coffee that's one thing but 12 gallons is another matter.Yeah nah i know a bit about what you got going on but that's a huge ass haul in bad conditions...you cant do snowmelt? I dont belive im over feeding. I fear that the hard water i have is so how bringing my ph down after i have balanced it out. I ph balanced all my water and watered them, i cam back and rechecked my last water container and it had dripped to 5.3 as well. After beiing brought up to 7.2Continue watering at 7.2 and stop overfeeding.

They wake up at 7 pm and ill go down with a flod light and take some pics. I litterwlly plucked that leaf so i could take it out of the brigth yellow lights, they make it almost impossible to see the damage. You're worrying about the PH too much. Do you have any pictures of your plants So I can see what's going on?
Look at her other thread,You're worrying about the PH too much. Do you have any pictures of your plants So I can see what's going on?
Are you using HPS lights because that picture you posted on the first page looks like it's a burnt leaf. Either from your lights being too close, or too much nutrientsThey wake up at 7 pm and ill go down with a flod light and take some pics. You still haven't said what you're feeding and what you're growing in. How hard is your water?I dont belive im over feeding. I checked but I can't tell because the HPS lights are running, it's almost impossible for me to tell what's going on while the lights are running broLook at her other thread,
