DIY with Quantum Boards

Its 108V driver with 1400mA current, it could do 2x70w if you like in series, but not full 150w to the one qb96. Kudos on digging out the report, its usually more accurate than the datasheet.
I haven't used constant current drivers, I figured it would do 150 watts across the 54-108V range, but I should have figured from the name alone that the 1.4 amps is "constant" across the range. So yeah not a good pairing.

There are drivers that act like you describe, so called constant power drivers, in meanwells xlg range but they are generally a few percent less efficient.

These drivers are capable of slightly more than rating, but expecting 315 watts from one is not reasonable. They will often be in the 10-30 watts over range. That's still more than rating! if you need 300+ watts go to a 320H-C2100.

I thought the constant current drivers would push more juice than they are... turned all the way up they are only pushing 269 watts... each driver is pushing two of the light panels

I was hoping for at least 315 watts in here... I'm not sure if I just need to add some supplemental lighting or what... I thought for sure 4 288's would be plenty of light for a 3x3

Edit:
I just ordered 10 of the eb gen3 strips to supplement my current lights, figured I'd put 4 on this light with the 288s and 6 on my light with the 132s... gotta figure out what drivers I need for those now... hopefully them being quite a bit weaker doesn't mean they need to be a lot closer and won't be just added to the current frames...

I realized I had the boards on each driver wired in parallel on accident, I was just looking at a diagram and not thinking. They're easily together pushing over what I need now, I wasn't expecting 315 from one driver I was measuring them together.

the XLGs only do this within 70-100% of their output voltage also.

Last question (for now) regarding the QB288: R(ed)Spec or B(lue)Spec?
I was leaning towards the red but any opinions would be great. Again, this will be for a small 2x2x3-4' space.
Frank - I've gone WAY past motivated and into eagerly awaiting my next start!
