Lol you don't need pictures of the mother plant. There are characteristics associated with the virus.Oh strainly huh? Nice. Didn't know they had pictures of his mother plant on there.
Is that clear enough for you

How would you be able to tell the difference between a bad pheno, grower error, and the virus? You're just that good huh?Lol you don't need pictures of the mother plant. There are characteristics associated with the virus.

Lol.Newbs are always sure their plants are slow or diseased
First it was Septoria and now dudding
chances are they have neither 99% of the time
To much internet growing and not enough acceptance their skills need time
It isn’t an overnight thing to gain a green thumb
I figured as much, that's what made me ask. However, I never mentioned anything about node spacing. What I mentioned was secondary nodes shooting up almost as much as tops: something that dudded plants have been known to do.I’m all for science but sometimes I can’t help but think if you look hard enough to find something you’ll find something.
All of the symptoms listed for “dudding” happen every day in cannabis from environmental and genetic reasons. Plus grower error. Put me down as one who has never seen a plant “dud” from a virus. And 35% of plants? I’m skeptical.
The reason I said raise the lights a little is if they’re too intense, young plants grow shorter, with tighter nodes.
They also shy away from the intensity like any living thing will do. The lights should be positioned as such so that the plants grow to them, not away from them.
I believe someone answered your question already. Thanks for chiming in.How would you know one was a dud without knowing what the parent looked like? I don't see any issues to be concerned about.
Thanks for chiming in on the matter, daddio. There are ways. If you look in the strainly thread there are pictures and people describing it based on weak brittle stems and lack of frost amongst other things.
OP if the branching is strong and thick and not weak and spindly it's most likely because it's a clone. Healthy clones can seem to have more branching than running from seed because technically the clones are already "mature"
Thanks. It's just been a long while since my last go around and I'm just trying to be alert as much as possible.Nothing looks wrong with those plants. Stop looking for problems. Are they all clones off the same mother or do they come from different mothers? If they come from different mothers that could easily explain the differences in branching.
I believe you, because I've seen enough threads where people could spot it just by looking at pics because of the experience they've had battling the disease themselves.Lol you don't need pictures of the mother plant. There are characteristics associated with the virus.

Damn, I feel for you. I hope all goes your way and definitely post back up when you figure it out.I’ve been dealing with either hops latent viroid or root aphids I’m actually hoping it’s aphids I can eventually get rid of those. That being said I really doubt you are able to tell this early and wouldn’t be concerned about it if I only had a few plants. Grow them out and see you will still get decent bud just about 80% of what you would have and not quite as strong.
I have a pretty big mother selection so I’m gonna send off samples for testing but I’m almost certain one of my favorite strains has it, and it’s a 5k process to get it back clean. I could buy more seeds but I feel like that would be like making babies looking for the same one it’s not likely to happen even with 100 tries.
Man wtf are you smoking? I never said anything about me but if I grew a verified ecsd clone and grew it under normal conditions and it was small buds with no frost and weak branching I might send in a sample to have it tested. How would you be able to tell the difference between a bad pheno, grower error, and the virus? You're just that good huh?
Man wtf are you smoking?I'm not sure how someone would suspect dudding from seed for the reasons you state but if you're getting a clone and know what you're looking for, you can definitely spot it.
Welcome to RIULol.
Who the fuck said I was a newbie, lame? I swear a lot of you dudes on here be bitches and weirdos on the low; making little catty remarks every chance you get. As if someone gives a fuck enough to care about what you think. Don't get me wrong, if you're here to be "HELPFUL" it's appreciated. But if not, get the fuck out of here LAME.

OP, that plant doesnt look symptomatic. The excessive branching refers to "witches broom" expressions.Lol.

What do you mean fucked? I'm asking for a friend. This is fucked. What a shame.
It does.. Its kinda weird. Every time hplvd is mentioned, a lot of denials and conspiracy takes over. It's like you come online to share a real issue then people fight you to tell you it's not real. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, when this subject comes up Dunning Kruger takes over and any useful data is lost in a sea of warped toxic flexing.
What a shame.

Thanks for chiming in and some reassurance. It's definitely appreciated.OP, that plant doesnt look symptomatic. The excessive branching refers to "witches broom" expressions.
Small fans, brittle weak stems, poor root health are a few things to look out for in veg.
In flower, its much more pronounced.
If you sourced this clone from an unknown vendor or even someone you do know, just get it tested and leave it in quarantine while you await the results. If you take clones from her, clean your tools with a bleach solution. You do NOT want this to spread to other plants. I dont think you have anything to worry about but better safe than sorry.
Good luck
Thanks daddio for your contribution. It's also appreciated.Dudding is the new TMV.
I predicted this. Post #222
HpLVd, information, Vendors, Testing and Reviews
And there’s no known “cure” except isolating and re growing the plant via tissue culture? So it’s all 100% about prevention at this point. I saw some post in an article about soaking a cutting in fungicide will kill it. One of their examples was oxi something so might be possible to kill itwww.rollitup.org

Lol. Don't even stress yourself trying to explain the obvious. These clowns be acting as if because they didn't or have yet to see or experience it themselves, that it didn't happen or ever existed. Let them tell it, everyone's experience are all false and imaginary. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, when this subject comes up Dunning Kruger takes over and any useful data is lost in a sea of warped toxic flexing.
