Biden Shanked The Progs

the services that truly relate to the American Family, that you can see and take to the bank the day after it's signed are that of which the Progressives have held tight on..it does me no good to go to the eye doctor for an exam if i can't have the corrective appliance..dental exam and again no corrective; hearing exam but no corrective..Generic RXs that have 10% active ingredient- Brands that are hundreds and thousands of dollars even though they've been around so long that their research has been paid over and over again- why aren't they affordable? they are everywhere else in the world. That's what the Progs are about.
It's your right to vote for Republicans if you think they will be more helpful.

Precisely that is what I meant when I said too soon.
We can repeat the fact as many times as we like.

Bernie's babies just want what they want without regard to what is possible at the moment.

Trump's propaganda team knows this and are putting the "they just work for fat cats which is why you can't have free medicine" line of BS out there full blast.

That said, it's Biden's job to win their vote. Democratic Party leaders have not forgotten what happens in close elections if they stay home. To my eyes, they tried and only got about 2/3 of the ask. It's enough for me but for some, I guess, it's all or nothing so we get nothing if they are in charge.

NY former governor called them the unproductive wing of the Democratic Party. Thought it summed them up quite well.

It would so totally help if some of the President’ trillions agenda would get passed into the law. If not, I expect more disunity that shatters forward motion.

It's a goddamn important spending bill that is needed to get this country moving again as the pandemic winds down. If Manchin or Sinema block it in the Senate, the share of the blame falls to Repulsivcans 50 to 2. I think Sinema gets primaried if she does vote no. But she will be well treated by the big pharma lobby, so maybe she doesn't care.

The problem is, without that bill's passage, the US economy will get stuck in a stagflation cycle. Of course that is what Repugs want and why they are universally against it. There was a time when Repugs earnestly claimed to be patriots. They still wrap themselves with patriotic bunting but their actions say otherwise.

The Repugs have worked long and hard to get us into the corner. They’re invested.
Manchin and Sinema strike me as long-game opportunists. And this is their moment.

um, i'm not understanding why this is up to 2 Moderates..Retired are getting exactly nothing..Elder Care which already exists just more of them..gee thanks I can do my own laundry and would prefer a pair of glasses to go with the eye exam..they give you an eye exam but no glasses or contacts..they give you the woodie..no dental..NO DENTAL!!!!!!! they'll cover your hearing exam but no hearing aid..until Biden (Sanders) wrestled a hearing aid from them. What about RXs? WTF?

A bizarre truth - due to an old agreement between congress, insurance companies, and dentists, dental services *of every kind* are considered COSMETIC…and therefore, not covered by healthcare.

In the course of my life, I’ve spent well over $250,000 on dental expense: “normal dental care”, root canals, extractions, oral surgeries, implants…and here at the end, I have ONE mostly intact tooth, no upper teeth at all (pulled to prepare for dentures when the Bush mortgage meltdown ate everything)…but no dentures, due to having lost everything…including the ability to keep up with the payments on the dentures before I even had ‘em.

I *do* have two beautiful sets of lower-molar implants (L & R) though, bloody upper gums, and a LOT of practice @ making real food I can process with what I have left.

I’ve also been practically *certified* in every form of tooth care and cleaning, including flossing…which do NO good if your stress and anxiety cause you to clench and grind your teeth…and that is what happened to mine (along with plain old shoddy dental work).

Even after all that, I deal with toothaches *every* day…just in case my previous comment sounded somehow “privileged” or elitist. Dental infections / lack of dental care *KILLS PEOPLE*…and almost killed me.

I just started going back to the dentist (right before the pandemic) after about 25 years of not being there once. Just got the last two of my silver fillings replaced last week.

It really does make sense that dental coverage should be a right. In the long run it is far less expensive to just keep up on problems.

i asked a question that you didn't answer- choose for her.
you asked an unreasonable question that doesn't take 90% of the situation into account..right now, she's not getting a fucking thing...any one item i picked off of that list would be an improvement, and only a fool would demand that they all happen this instant...nothing happens right this instant in American politics, or indeed, the politics of any nation that isn't enforced at gunpopint...

to expect all of that to get corrected immediately is pretty naive...get a foot in the door, then start wedging it open a little further every day...if a bill fails, rewrite it and send it through again...and again...and again...

Nope, I recall when you were oozing love hormones towards him early in the pandemic but I never much cared for him. He is right about Bernie's babies being part of the unproductive wing of the Democratic Party. They don't have what it takes.

You are lobbing an emotional attack because I repeated the facts of life to you. I'm am in complete sympathy with anybody who is disappointed that a couple of Democrats were all that was needed in order for Republicans to stop some important measures from getting through. I'm not sympathetic to the idiots who are saying that it is Democrats fault that Republicans prevented the measures from passing. That's as idiotic as most things the MAGAs say.

OTOH, it is quite stupid that affordable eye and medical care is not available to a large number of people in the US. It is a valid complaint and the ruckus over them being left out is justified.

I'm pretty angry too. I'm pretty sure you are as well.

you can ALWAYS be sure i'm pretty angry....as long as sophomoric bullshit runs rampant in the house and senate, and retards who don't even read the news and act like they know what they're talking about are threatening the future of democracy

thank you for that story and i'm very sorry that our system is as it is; i'm hoping along with others we can change this barbaric exclusion:hug:...teeth that just break off still have live root which is why you're still getting toothache without the tooth.

Amazon has Uncle Harry's Toothache Relief oil..though i'm sure you've scoured the world.

with an infection in the mouth it's just a hop, skip and jump to the brain which would really cost the insurance company..speaking of which Delta Airlines is charging the unvaxxed $200 monthly to kick in for those hospitalized with Covid when they could've had a vaccination..

people are saying employees are getting the shot rather than pay a $200 fee.
