they'll stop, there aren't enough of them to pull that shit off. doesn't matter how many weapons and rounds of ammo they have, they can't fire but one at a time. they'll stop when they get shot in the back while they're running away from the national guard, they'll stop when they try to hide and no one wants their fucked up asses endangering their families, they'll stop when they're ground into the dust like the dirt they are. then we can make some real progress, once the neanderthal fuckfaces are extinct

there is a part of me that would like to do to them what they're trying to do to America and everyone in it different than them...just look up where they live or work, where they hold their white supremacist meetings, where they plan to gather and spew hate like vomit, and take them the fuck out. i honestly think they're a real threat to the race, our society, and to public safety...
but, that would make me no better than they are...and that makes me feel sick inside. i'm just having a hard time allowing them to run free doing harm on a daily basis. can't we just wall off Louisiana, Misissippi, and Arkansas, evacuate any sane reasonable people, (if there are any) and dump the motherfuckers in there? cut off ALL contact with them, no internet, no phone service, no broadcasts allowed out...allow no shipping to come ashore, no planes to land, no vehicles to pass through...? no?..is it really more reasonable to allow them to continue doing what they're doing now?

i'd like to give you a constructive piece of advice, but i don't have one....there's a biological bond, a racial memory, a socially ingrained set of expectations that all say "love your mother"....so we do, even if they are less than deserving of that love.
all i can tell you is love the good people in your life even more, and try to avoid contact with your mom as much as you can. sounds like she doesn't actually need your direct involvement in her life, so talk to her once a month or so, and try to talk about what you've been doing with your family, give her examples of what people who actually love each other do when they have time to spend together

I think we underestimate how much damage a relatively small number of people could do. I think a million people could essentially shape the country into whatever they wanted and as few as 10k could send the country into another depression. Police forces would fall apart pretty fast once bad things start happening, because half would go one way and half would go the other, and that would be that. Military would split as well, with some bases going one way and some going the other. All I can say is, if we ever have another civil war and win in the end, again, next time we have to go full throat-cut on the losers, else we'll just be doing it again in another 150 years.

i don't know about that...the Republicans have been playing fast and loose, and they're starting to get some shit splattered on them. Biden NEEDS to get up Merrick's ass about prosecuting every single one of them, including trump, if they had anything to do with 1/6, and carrying through. trump needs to be in prison for a multitude of crimes. if Biden wants the democrats to support him, he needs to show them some strength, and force some prosecutors to get the fuck off the pot and start taking care of shit

you're assuming the worst...i don't think it will come to that. all of these mighty warriors like to bbq in the back yard, swill beer, watch football...do you think many, if any of them, have the willpower to give those things up for their cause? maybe a few...but not many.
of course, we're all guilty of numerous things...indulging in our "opiates" and allowing the situation to get this far out of hand to begin with, ignoring and condoning institutionalized racism in government, letting foreign..fuck foreign...allowing RUSSIA and putin to interfere in our society to the extent they have been. allowing a grifting piece of shit like donald trump to even run for president...allowing the same grifting piece of shit to walk free after all the crimes he's committed...not hanging him for sedition after his failed coup attempt...allowing most of the traitor magats that participated in 1/6 to remain free...hell, to remain unhung, right next to trump...

Not sure I'm assuming the worst, but when you look back at any major event/atrocity, you see the buildup of certain milestones that often go back anywhere from 5-20+ years and I think that if we teleported to a civil war 5 years from now, this is one of many moments historians would be looking at. I think our next civil war would probably start with everything leading up to 9/11 and would include the subsequent war, debt, mortgage crash, more debt, trump, Covid, inflation, shit wages, overvalued stocks, political trials, more debt, default, etc. etc.

What you're talking about with bbq's and whatnot, I agree that it won't happen as long as life is still pretty good. Bbq's are a metaphor for living a good life, but take away those bbq's(i.e. jobs and the ability to care for one's family) and you're right there. Any type of economic depression and subsequent unemployment in the US, with what we already have under our belt, would be especially bad, imo. We would not unite through a common suffering. People would blame and attack as if their life depended on it. External instigators would have to do very little to fuel it, and you or I would have to do an impossible amount to overcome it.

It's why I ask, what would you do, if you really had to? It's like a bad marriage; the longer the relationship degrades, the less recoverable it becomes.
