Has anyone tried Walmart 2' hyper tough led grow light or ocean state job lot 4" grow lights

Again asked about specific lights if you haven't used them go away and troll elsewhere the only useful information I've received was a link for a light meter app this is my first time INDOORS not my first experience with cannabis read the question I wasn't inviting everyone on the site to give me advice about lights i asked if anyone has used them and to share their experience if they have i can see now why Noone that has used them has spoken up you all are a bunch of vicious trolls and Noone wanted to get dragged through the mud like this

Ok now just to be absolutely clear my lighting measurements are exactly where they should be 380 ppfd veg 845 ppfd flower measured at top of canopy the Walmart lights work very well at 3 units per plant if anyone else was interested they are linkable and I have six on one plug my advice is if you're looking to stretch your plant a little move the lights away a little bit thanks again for the Photone link and you are all welcome for the data concerning Walmart 2' hyper tough plant light remove the diffusers and use them they're working beautifully for vegging the extra blue light helps them a lot

Here is your answer, forget about asking anybody anything because it doesn't mean shit. 35 watts per square foot for LED. That's all you need to know. I don't need to know shit about your lights, meaningless, watts per square foot is right and yes, you will grow some good weed unless you suck.

But you don't care about that. You want to talk to people who bought the same product as you.

Exactly and what i got was everything else there is a wealth of information on the internet concerning how much and what spectrum light you should give plants there are not many reviews of these lights however. Here's the short story. These lights work very well with the diffusers removed i recommend them for vegetative cycles

The photone calculator suggests that you may want a bit more light during veg, unless you're looking for more stretch.

60 red 40 blue is for strong veg growth….yes that’s correct……The only way to do that is to know the micromole efficiency in your chips as well as the. Relative intensity of both red and blue separately…… however when you throw white light in there it off puts that ratio so you have to account for that as well and then adjust accordingly…… do you know the relative intensity of your LEDs have you seen charts?

Don’t worry about stem growth …..they will explode in flower….especially that Mamosa…..mine grew 2.5 inches every day untill week 3 hit then it stopped almost over night

Soooo dli is what really counts min.20 dli max yield to input before diminishing returns. 40dli sunlight. 60dli. My numbers are 30- 36 in veg room and 45-67 flower room all measurements taken at canopy I'm growing bag seeds of unknown genetics one is ruderalis one is indica Bugbee said that you shouldn't throw out your grow lights just because you aren't getting the numbers you need try instead supplemental light sources (most especially red light sources)to bring dli above 20 also this dr. Is very excited about ultraviolet light and its effects on cannabinoid production it doesn't take much uva light to stimulate increased trichome production and the results can be dramatic I do my research people Walmart leds are excellent veg lamps due to the additional blue leds but should be coupled with additional red leds to bring ratio to around 30/70 blue to red as higher concentration of blue spectrum can stunt growth keep at about 4-5 inches above plant to achieve dli readings between 30 and 40 again you can get decent results at 20dli Photone meter app on galaxy s9 gives good readings and remember there are 9 parameters that need to be balanced. Light is only one of these parameters if you change one you need to adjust them all. I'm blessed with a natural spring so I have help with some of this from nature. that is my official review of Walmart hyper tough 2' led grow light. only use job lot lights for supplemental red light source or for flowering. If you're starting brand new and aren't on a budget buy a 600$ light otherwise buy what you can afford. If you got two little kids you probably aren't going to buy the most expensive light on the market and you ABSOLUTELY CAN grow good cannabis with inexpensive lights

And please feel free to fact check everything bugbee is the scientist at apogee instruments and they have an intensive cannabis research study in progress for many years his videos are very informative and available on YouTube take notes it's good stuff. I hope that I've provided useful information in a less arrogant manner than what I've received in this thread. Please everyone do what you can afford and use your resources to optimize your results i do wish you all happy gardening and no hard feelings i do have a tendency to be defensive when I'm told that every thing i do is wrong and clearly it's not. Let's all remain objective and not discount others efforts because it isn't what we do just like hydro or bio there is always more than one way to achieve the same results

If you find you want even more stretch you can run a couple of household halogen bulbs for a few hours in veg while the other lights are off.
The far red on its own will promote stem elongation.
