calling on all the experience on this site? I’m newbie starting a 4x4 grow tent in will be running spider 4000w led with 6 inch in-line fan and carbon filter. I can’t exhaust to attic so out the window seems to be the way but my concern is cool air from outside over cooling my grow? How can I combat this or will it even be an issue? Thank you for any and all advice!

Venting hot moist air into the attic space will eventually cause mold and mildew issues. I vent out my chimney. As for fresh air intake you will need a heated "lung room" or an area that is kept at least 63f to draw fresh air from. Any colder and you will not get optimum growth.

Yep that should be just fine - whatever your exhaust fan pulls out from your will be sucked in through openings etc - do as long as the ambient air around the tent is in range you’ll be good to go

My first year with a tent growing indoors. Been growing in a closet for a few years and still do for flowering. But this is the first year I worried about temp other than controlling too high in summer. I have remote temp/humidly monitoring.
The tent I'm finding out is better off being exposed to the room environment in the winter, currently 71F and 60%. With the lights on there is still a 5f rise in temp in the tent and a slight drop in humidity. I don't exhaust to outside when the fan runs.
The flower closet has a bath fan exhaust that I rigged up for temp control this summer to conserve on AC use. But during the winter I need a constant draw with this fan to ventilate the house. And found out it is better off running like this in the winter. Even at lights off with low to mid 60Fs temps VPD wise.

I run 20x20 room year round live in northern Ohio I don’t use a tent I have a old root cellar that I converted my heater and a/c duct run thru the room helps hold temp at 70 degrees year round without lights and other stuff in set up running I bring air into my room from the opposite side of my cellar air temps run around 68 to 70degrees , temp and moisture levels are key obviously lol not much experience in little tents but just have to find what works for you and run with it

When you say you don’t exhaust when fan is on do you just disconnect at the tent? Dumb ? But just like to clarify. Thank you!My first year with a tent growing indoors. Doesn't exhaust outside the house. It just dumps into the room. The other one goes into the attic, which has plenty of natural ventilation.

Exhausting directly outside in winter? What happens when the power goes out and that exhaust fan is off?
I’m screwed if that happens I suppose as nothing in my tent will run without power

Without the attic and not using window do I have a third choice I am missing? Just run exhaust into open air of room, away from the intake? Trying to figure this before I begin. Thank you

A backdraft fitting will stop any cold air from backing up into the house with a power failure.

I got the same set up pretty much, 
Everything on the interior ducting goes uphill from window connection to keep water out
cabinet is where air intakes warm air from house then goes through tent and out the window
Window on the left, ducting going out after filter and muffler.
