Thanks for the reply! I'd say there are 95% white pistils. Up until I got my new microscope in the mail, I've been thinking I had at least another 3 weeks. But everything I've read has told me to pay attention to the trichomes and to harvest when roughly 50-60% cloudy/amber and that's just about what I'm seeing. Before I got this microscope, I fully intended to take her to 10 weeks (or longer) and her appearance indicates as much, but what I was seeing under the scope, had me second guessing myself. I personally like to smoke sativas but haven't grown a sativa dominat strain, so I'm not entirely use to the "delayed" flowering time...and honestly, this is only my second grow after a decade out of the game, so I wholeheartedly feel like a newb lol your insight is greatly appreciated!

Thanks man!!!! I tend to be over critical of myself at times, so hearing that let's me know I'm on the right track! This HD microscope had me second guessing myself lol prior to receiving this in the mail, I wasn't even considering harvesting, as based on their "naked eye" appearance, I had at least 3 weeks left. With the feedback I've received on this post, I plan on taking them to at least 70 days
The microscopes are cool, but I haven't used mine in awhile. I just judge based on the buds. Those need at least 4-5 weeks more, probably more like 5. Be patient and let them fatten up. Too many people chop early and never learn what they're missing out on.
And based on what I've learned in the short time since I created this thread, I anticipate that I won't use it for much more than pictures going forward lol as of tomorrow, it will be the start of week 7 and I originally (before this scope) anticipated going for a full 10 weeks. That will bring me to the 4-5 weeks that you're quoting. They are just now starting to fatten up, so I would've been rather bummed if the recommendation would've been to chop them down lol those trichomes, with the addition of research that I've done, had me thinking I was ready, when, I in fact, was not ready lol
Those scopes take some beautiful pics for sure. They're good for scoping for bugs too.
It's cooling down quite a bit where I'm at and I've placed a couple spiders that have made their way into my apt, into my tent, so bugs aren't entirely too big of a concern; though, that was kept in mind when I purchased the microscope. With this particular microscope/camera, I've had some trouble getting some clear pictures (shaky hands) but I've made sure to go into the flower rather than the leaf itself. I've also been pretty careful in regards to touching the buds....I tend to pull on a bigger fan leaf down, to see what's happening underneath. These girls are almost wet when I touch them, so I don't want to disrupt that. Patience is my prerogative though! That's why I wanted to get some advice from people who have done it better and longer than I have. I most certainly appreciate your insight!!

Honestly, just based on the information I found about the color of trichomes, I wouldve chopped them tonight lol so having this to fall back on is a life safer haha

Shits currently curing. So happy I waited, and just learned from all the bros that know there shit. To much…..asking for help then biting the hand they feeds you on here I find. A lot say it’s millennials. Lol. I’m not so sure. Bit too many ask for help than start to argue with the advice. I owe every harvested plant this year to a select few on here. First plant 9.65oz. No that doesn’t mean they should come out the woodwork asking for a shipment hahaha

To the OP you have ATLEAST 4-5 weeks left before you should even be thinking about looking at the trichomes or harvesting, its not showing any signs of maturity as a whole plant. Any of those amber trichomes you are seeing now where either damaged or just some of the very first trichomes formed. You want to wait until your plant is showing you multiple signs of maturity before you even think about looking at trichomes, because frankly trichomes are tricky to read unless you REALLY know what you are looking at.
Right now just keep your girl happy and healthy. Some sativa dom hybrids plants will take 12-14 weeks, so just sit back, smoke a bowl and enjoy the process. No matter what you've read, most plants need at least 10 weeks, and there are VERY FEW plants that will finish in 8 like the breeders claim.
