Are Autos as Good as thier Photo Genes?

It’s not magic … autos are started in solo , made into a plug then uppotted. ( better than starting in pot ).

Seriously … if you had plants crash and burn from a simple transplant , that was from your hands not plant.
There some “ prep “ to last container that is what eases transplant. Solo “ plug “ will have root mass go laterally instead of straight down as from seed only planting.

It’s the only way I grow them …. in soil.

You took me totally wrong and ignored what I was saying. Of course it's possible to transplant autos, but my point was that you should not do it because they will be stunted. It's no skin off my nose if you grow a single nug "cola" from your $12 seed; knock yourself out.
Shouldn't have transplanted...

Fuck... Another single nug cola. Shouldn't have transplanted.

You'd think all four would have been stunted from transplanting.

This one was tiny though, shouldn't have transplanted.

The most recent auto transplant failure.

Oh wait... No skin off my nose if you don't know how to grow.

Since I’m chiming a in a little - just finished watching all of Squid Game ( shit is even crazier while high bongsmilie )

Tip : The biggest autos can be had indoors with DWC / Hempy ( passive DTW ) and simple soil feeds.
Simple Hemp bucket ( 3:1 perlite / vermiculite) / GH MAXIBLOOM / tap ( 2gallon )
She just began to sex out and not sure of final size after stretch. To me , hydro autos taste cleaner , ran soils and it is easy to overdo the feed …. Hydro , it eats only what it wants. One of the reasons I see with some soil growers and their autos. Autos get over nuted and sometimes drags on its limited veg out stage.

Not knowing ALL about autos - back when nobody knew ALL about them - doesn't mean I "don't know how to grow". You're trolling the wrong person girl friend.

You have just changed the way I start my plants from here on out!!! How long does it usually take to form a plug in your opinion???

Look …..( to stay on track with OP thread )

Its not whether autos are this and that over photos . Both have their place. Autos often have wonky breeding , and can throw plenty of duds. Then there are some that run great. Most autos bred in last 25 years or so , were pretty pathetic.

Lots of breeders have taken the time to help refine the lines …. And “ consistency “. Photos can have same problems …. Weak genetics , unstable crosses , etc.

Even what you order from a breeder comes with a gamble …. Blister packs removed / seeds unknowingly or knowingly sent.
Who hasn’t had a grow look way different than advertised - ( lookin at you GPS / Cali Connection :finger: )

It’s the old Chevy vs. Ford bullshit among these seeds and growers . Who really cares ?

Wow... maybe because YOUR ass had not written the definitive book on growing autos, so I'm blaming you for it. It was a one-time fuck-up; I'm certain you've never made a mistake in growing.
That's so odd. For it happening only once all your other statements sound like a fact. So now you're saying it only stunts them if you fuck up?

Also the semi colon should be a period.

Of course you can, but just try it with autos and see what happens; they will stunt, and often nearly STOP growing.
Of course it's possible to transplant autos, but my point was that you should not do it because they will be stunted.

SO I started three Durban Poison Autos and only one lived! After five weeks It was still only 3/4' high and couldn't get out of the rapid rooter. Finally it put out one feeler root and I transplanted the rapid rooter and all into a soil pot.
I started two White Widow autos and after a week they were popping roots out of their rapid rooters. These were destined for my Stinkbud 6.0 NFT system. I'll lst and scrog them in a 2X3' net. My question now is, can I leave them in the rapid rooters in the net pot???

Try Blueberry xl auto from BSF Seeds if you have the chance, I bet it will go under 65 days in hydro/soilless, not the best yielder not bad either, but hard as a rock nugs nicely resin coated.
