Good tip,I run several cheap kinds,they all read 5% of each other.Big plants in small tents can have huge humidity spikes if not monitored.Easy to go to 80% RH at night when its cold.

My vent fan runs 24/7 on full and my bsmt never really gets humid.Furnace runs now so 35% is normal.My nights in the room are 68f and 45% rh

Yes I am using the hygrometer that works with my AC infinity exhaust fan. I'd hope it is high quality
