Hlg 600 r spec

I am using the HLG 600 Rspec in a 1meterx1meter tent at around 350ish on the dimmer. I can sure as hell say that this light is great!!

Great light! In veg, I try to keep it about 36” and dimmed to just under 50%, when they blooming I go for 26“ - 30” dimmed to about 25% to start and turn it up a little every couple days until they can’t take it. I’ve never been able to get to 100% even at 36”

I was feeling abit brave and i cranked my light opp to 85-90 and i do not know if this was the reason but i got a fucking hermie.... And it was the best looking girl in the bunch...

With or without the warranty my ballast cords are way to short to move outside the tent.
Fuck im still bummed about my hermie yesterday

I've been running three 600H models for a couple years in tent and open. 4x4 tent at 450 watts and 20" will bleach my buds. I don't know how guys do it in flower. I do better at 30" with between 450 and 500 watts. I am flowering a 5x5 room right now at 36" and 620 watts. Been tough to dial this light in while used in a tent with the power it has. I've used a par meter during all grows, leaf temp 82, ambient 87 are the temps I shot for. Man, having the driver mounted in a tent is gonna change temps for you. That's what keeps me from ordering a Scorpion. Hope any of this helps. Something specific?

Just wanted to add - all of our lights are configurable with remote drivers. Surface temps of even the more efficient Meanwell XLG and HLG drivers can reach the same levels as LEDs on good heatsinks.

Also of note, we highly recommend using active cooling (e.g. a small clip on fan) to blow across heatsinks in order to lower surface temps 20-30°F, which not only lowers the temps of the light itself, but also increases efficiency, and is good for overall LED longevity. Heatsinks with pins and/or fins also increase surface area available for thermal interchange with the environment.

Happy to field any questions, or offer additional insight.

Have a good day
Dan
