simplest solution is to just use some angle aluminum. it's been on the pricier side so other ppl have gotten creative and used things like alum rulers from HarborFreight. you could also get some actual led profile but going to be a little more expensive. https://ledprofiles.comThose are pretty cool little lights.
I’m also a go big or go home guy and I think the rep at HLG is too because he recommended the 135 bspec lol
say I wanted to make a 3ft fixture. I’d get four 2ft strips and four 1ft strips of the Samsung Q. What can I mount them to? And I guess a driver is needed?
I'm pretty sure those Q strips are 18mm wide which means they will fit into a U04 profile which you can find a ton on Amazon or at big box stores. might be able to find something on clearance, and if you wanted to make it waterproof u can get those with endcaps and clear lenses.
if you go with a mix of 1 and 2 footers you will be at different voltages. Might be able to make it work if you go for a constant current driver. Just make sure the 1 and 2 footers will work at the same contant current (say 500ma). might be better to just use all 1 footers if u want to cover the entire 3 foot space. That way you could keep voltage low and use parallel.
you will also need a dimmer know depending on driver chosen. and some wires, wagos, and power cord to plug into wall.
about to jump into work mode but can give u specific parts later.
