I bought HKG;s Scorpion Diablo. From what I have read this is a superb light.
It was a refurbished unit, good price, but only a yr. warranty. Would think if something is going to go wrong it will in a year.

'This needs correcting, that's the Horticulture Lighting Group Scorpion Diablo!
I would like to add, in researching LED's and the companies that I contacted that I believe I can expect excellent customer service from them.

I've been running the Scorpion RSpec in a 4x4 flowering tent (haven't vegged under it) for about 6 months . . . by far the best light I've ever used and I would recommend it to a friend or buy again myself if I needed another 4x4 led. The only led I can honestly compare it to is the Mars TSW2000 that I have in a 3x3 that I use for veg now. Having used the TSW2000 in flower before I feel I can safely say that the buds from the HLG are a bit larger and denser . . . or maybe that's in my head and I'm just trying to justify buying a $900 light for a hobby grow that never runs more than 1-3 plants at a time.
The Scorpion Diablo is definitely a big step up from the TSW2000. Not only is it over twice the wattage draw from the wall, but the shape/configuration of the diodes gives it a much more even light spread and they can safely be used closer to the canopy as a result, giving it considerably better system efficiency.

I’d say if you were going to compare it to any Mars light the closest thing would be their FC-E6500, but even then the Scorpion Diablo has better system efficiency. But it’s also about twice the price.

You have to pay for quality.

Actually it has faaar better PAR map in 4x4 and 5x4 than HLG. Better coverage and better overall light output.
Independent test result.

Then your better go for the geekbeast, Because i had mars hydro, its just bad. Did they send 7 times a light to get a good review finally from coco like by migro ? There where keep sending and the analys was bad, they finally make it work haha

I mean, they aren’t of the same quality as something like the Scorpion Diablo, or Fluence, or Sun on Demand Plasma lights, but they are actually pretty decent budget lights.

I personally wouldn’t say they suck (at least if we are talking about their QB or Bar Style lights), but I suppose it’s all relative.

I just checked out your past grows. I’d be more worried about learning to grow healthy plants, than bashing a LED company if I were you.

I have geekbeast and a friend use the new mars Hydro. A year ago I had an mars Hydro, but it really sucks. If you want an high end led, go for lumatek, fluence or geekbeast. I know it's hard to believe when just a marketing company try to sell the best led ever.. did you checked even there website. Damn I had a good laugh You know I had under 4 geekbeast A QUALITY WEED. The weight was 3452 gram and 260 fluff, but please go for the mars hydro

I don't think a Lambo is made in China, yet, but I'm sure someone over there will make you a cheap knockoff though. Myself, I've got too much garbage from China already and try to avoid buying more.

Everything is made in China even fluence, lumatek..

I check migro youtubechannel for a review of al the lights. Then you have to make a choice

I really do like US-based companies, even when the components are imported. Quality parts and domestic companies get very important especially when any troubles come.
Migro has been a great reference point or source. Excellent info and lots of it.
