WASHINGTON, July 2 (Reuters) - Federal prosecutors are discussing possible plea bargains with members of a group of defendants in the U.S. Capitol storming accused of links with the far-right Oath Keepers movement, a government lawyer told a federal court on Friday.

During a hearing on the status of prosecutions stemming from the Jan. 6 attack, federal prosecutor Kathryn Rakoczy said the government had initiated discussions about possible plea deals with at least 12 of 16 defendants connected to the Oath Keepers. The movement is focused on recruiting current and former military, law enforcement and emergency services personnel.

Oath Keepers, Proud Boys and 3-percenters. We all know they conspired to attack Congress and try to prevent the certification of Biden's victory in the presidential election. We all know. They know. Trump and other leaders of the insurrection knew. DOJ, FBI and DHS know. It's hilarious that one of Trump's apologists is even posting his lies here. We saw it. We heard Trump call for it. Not once but many times over many months.

As the Right Wing Troll, @FredH says, they can't have an honest discussion. They can't have an honest discussion without incriminating themselves. They conspired to break into the capitol building. Of course they can't talk about it. Not if they want to get a plea bargain in exchange for the hide of a person higher up in the conspiracy-hierarchy.

Only one case actually made it to the Supreme Court regarding the election, that would be the Texas vs Pennsylvania case. The supreme Court refused to hear any evidence or take the case. I guess you don't know it being a Canadian but the US Supreme court was created to settle disputes between the states, meaning the SC refused to do it's duty. And by the way if you interested here are a list of court cases regarding the election and it appears that in almost every case that was actually heard Trump's side won.


This certainly refutes the leftrat media claim than election cases have been "laughed out of every court".

Being from Canada (thanks for noticing), some of us actually knows a thing of two about our American cousins. And the SC took a lazy way out rather than getting involved. Texas had no business in how another State did their election. Texas would not stand for it if another State told them what to do if the situation was reversed. A and by your two posts here I see you are a troll, good luck.

Oh, and you were the one that said Biden should nullify the election. And these people were there to make him do it. What would have happened if the Representatives were actually in the process of doing their jobs and the mob bust into the room? But that would be ok for those that want to overrule the will of the people.
