Hello everyone. Just thought I'd say hey as I've just joined the forum.
Started an aero system growing super skunk.
2x4x6 tent.
GH flora trio, and cal/mag.
Use only to water with 2ppm straight from the container.
Have ac piped into the tent through the intake fan on a bn link temperature control. Tent stays between 76 and 79 deg f.
Exhaust triggered with intake and keeps the rh between 58-68%.
BN link mister timer set at 1 min on 7 min off.
Lighting,. Ehhhh. Don't want to discuss because I know they're inadequate, or at least will be as she gets bigger. Will update this when I get new lights. They are led though.
Don't want to say much about my sprayer/mister as this is experimental, and I've not seen or heard of anyone using what I'm using. After this grow I will disclose the full setup. For now I will say that it works as an hps system would only without the need for high pressure, and has never clogged. It's a very fine mist/fog. Not as fine and dense as say an ultrasonic fogger, but definitely very fine droplets. If I had to guess (which I do) I'd say in the 10-15 micron range. Maybe smaller. Again just a silly wild ass guess.
My Arline is coiled inside the ac airflow as well as the pump itself to promote cooling.
This in itself doesn't quite do the trick by itself so atm Im using freezable cooler packs. P.I.T.A to keep swapping them out but gotta do what I gotta do.
I'm working on a circulation pump to cool nutrient solution.
The system uses very little solution. About a half gallon in a 5 gallon bucket.
As for the 5 gal res size. Well it may prove to be to small as she gets bigger, so I'm planning on having to (make it bigger) but will wait and see.
Only doing one plant for now to test the system, but going good...... finally.
Took some trial and error to dial everything in but now she's really starting to to take off.
Look at the pics and give your opinions on her overall appearance.
Please, all comments and suggestions are welcome and encouraged.
You will notice the bottom leaves have a lot of yellow. Well 2 weeks ago they were about to fall off.
I went on vacation for 13 days and came home to a total $#1t show. It was horrible.
Bottom two leaves were laying on the res lid dead.
Next set was yellow wilted and all but dead.
Guess I set my timer wrong before I left. That was also before the ac was introduced to the system, so yeah total nightmare. Thought I was gonna lose her, but didn't give up on her.
Gave her a new batch of nutes with extra micro for more nitrogen, adjusted temp and timer controls, and within a few days she was looking much better. Bottom leaves almost green again, and she's growing like, well. Like a weed lol.
Sorry didn't take pics of the horror show, but here some taken today.
I took video of the mist in action, but unfortunately can't upload it.
Thanks for reading.
