Hiya
Its that time of year again. Whoopee. Last few weeks of flower and my RH is too high. When lights come on and i unzip the tent its high, 70% which for late flower is not good. Lights on, i can keep the tent unzipped and it drops to 45% which is just about ok but its the 12 hours in darkness im worried about, there is no venting/circulation of any kind and i need to fix it.
Would this help?
And how would i make it lightproof?
Thanks!

Dehumidifier.

"there is no venting/circulation of any kind and i need to fix it." Definitely the problem.
How big is your tent? How many watts inside the tent?

If you have nothing, then yes the fans will help move air, lowering humidity, if it is being exhausted out of the area, and outside incoming air needs to be cool and low humidity also.

You don't have any extraction fan running?
Nope. Dumb, i know.
Unfortunately it's your best bet imo.
Why "unfortunately"?

60x60x180, 135w QB.
Thanks guys ill pick one up but i think this is another grow where ive fucked up with too high RH during flower, i thought the dehumidifier wouldfix it but without any in/out venting i guess its just recycling the the humid air.

That fan you show should work, but bigger flow would be better if you are ever going to add more watts of light. You can make a "light trap" with dryer tubing painted flat black inside.

You do not need 150mm fan for this small tent. 100 or 125 will do the job and you can manage cheaper filter on it, which also solve you light leaks issue. Dehu you have is most likely one of that pseudo “dehumidifer” cheap toy. Anyway you have to take into consideration you ambient RH as well…

Ok cheers. Its one of these
I got it 2nd hand maybe thats the issue RRP €280 so i dont think its cheap crap, but still its not doing what i expected...

It's unfortunate because they're usually pretty pricey.

Taking back this should make the work easily. Put hand on evaporator, should be very cold when running, if not you might need to refill refridgerant. if you run exhaust and dehu in tent, it is contraproductive, put it outside the tent in the room. You will also need at least 20degrees temp to “kick” it on working, lower temps you have, less effective it works…

edit: when your temp drops below 18 than the dehu fight with defrosting mode periodicaly and that can last for hours… when your temp is quite high dehu will rise it even more. Kinda tricky

Ok thanks, yeah I've wondered about having the dehu outside but I don't understand how that will help the rh inside the tent...?
Cheers!

It should work like this… your lower your RH in room where your tent is and than your fan will suck that dried air through the tent. You are recirculating that air in your room. Obviously if you are venting it outside the house with openned windows and high RH than you are just venting that dried air replacing with fresh one. It is okay when your dried air volume is much more larger than air you exchange but not on constant exhaust being larger than capacity of the dehu…

Thanks @Bukvičák , the air that comes out of the vents at the top, that has been dehumidified correct? Im just thinking to draw the air from the dehu into the tent then have some extraction the other side...?

Yes, that on top was dried and heated. Actually there should be only one place where the air is explelled. You can draw that air and run in through the tent but be careful of the temp, rather just let him dry the room where the tent is…

Ok thanks man. Well with the new fan I was at 50% after 12 hours lights off tent zipped up obviously. That's down from about 70%. So thats good but I just can't get below 50%.
@Bukvičák you somewhere in the balkans mate?

50% is absolutely no concern unless you have baseball bat colas. Keep air moving and you are good. No bro I am in western Europe…

Ok thanks.
My buds are always dry. Like when i squeeze them there is no stickiness on your hand. No smell either. All my grows seem like this and i always have high humidity so for this one i really wanted to get the RH down and see if it makes any difference.
Taken this morning...
Cheers!
