The plant killer (me)

Personally I stopped transplanting after my first run. People warn you about watering small plants in big pots but I find it a lot easier to just fully soak a smart pot filled with Bio Bizz All Mix 24 hours before I plant, then I don't have to water properly for like 2 weeks. During that time, if the top layer looks dry, I just draw a circle about 1.5 inches clear of the stem with a spray bottle. When the plant has its second set of leaves, and the pot feels light, it's time to start watering properly. Haven't ever killed a seedling this way.

Obviously that's not helpful for your current situation as you're already underway though. You've already taken good advice and got a better light and bought the plants inside. Only thing to add is you need to really nail your watering strategy! You should water until you get runoff from the bottom of the pots (which MUST have holes for drainage). The idea is to fully saturate the soil every time you water, then don't water again until almost all of that water has been used up. I personally use a saucer under each pot and keep watering until the saucer fills, but crucially until the water stops reabsorbing into the soil. How you figure those things out is up to you, and will be based on your specific setup, but you'll succeed as long as you're fully saturating the soil every time, and waiting until its nearly dry before watering again.

I'm considering buying some 3 gallon grow bags to put these seedlings in since I cant find any plastic planter pots in my town.
I've already purchased some 5 gal buckets but I'm thinking they might be too big.
Any thoughts on this?

I have three 5gal fabric pots in my 36x36x72in and it is a little more packed than I would prefer. Wish I only had two or that I had put them in 3gal pots...during stretch I had to move them from my 32x32x63in. Thankfully I am mainlining, so my growth is contained to a small footprint above the pot but if I were growing regularly, like trying to spread the canopy, I would be fucked for space. 20210612_121242.jpg

Good enough for me!
And damn I wish I had your problem, lol! Thats a nice looking crop.
Got my Hydro TS1000 for 140 bucks
Mine was 150 something but it came with a timer, and a temp/humidity thingy (hygrometer?)
I'm done spending on lights for now. Just trying to plan ahead for the next couple weeks.
Just put 2 more seeds in dirt today after doing the paper towel method.
I gotta feeling I'm gonna end up like @Dank Bongula, buying multiple tents and lighting eventually, but thats down the road a ways I think.

I'm also considering putting some music on in their tent just for shits and giggles.
Mozart, meditation music, Metallica, Country???
I wonder what they like...?

i built my own, im a sparky too and it was a pain in the ass to build. (when leds were way more pricey)cost me around $600 AUD in parts. Im thinking of getting a spiderfarmer or some other led as a backup but my own one yeilds around 8 ounces a harvest. not bad for 200 watts.

Any chance you have a drawing or BOM?

My order of Flora Micro Bloom and Gro just arrived.
But not knowing what I was doing when I ordered it, I now see it says General Hydroponics.

Will this work for growing in soil, or should I return it and get something more suitable?

apparently mosanto or whatever they are called own general hydroponics.. but anyway good nutes but goes hard after a while in powder form.
need to really break it up before use when it gets six months old etc.in DWC the powder can build up into clumpy salts in your res tank so not recomended for that but for hand watering its good stuff. Just dont buy kool bloom. I hate that stuff.

Before you try building your own you might want to look at something like this.

Mine cost $93 each. The daisy chain option does not work by default, don't expect it to, they put the wrong plugs in for mine, it plugs into the wall just fine. It wasn't worth bitching about.

It pulls 184 watts from the wall and will veg a 3x3 and flower 2x2. It's got a 50% dimmable feature, meaning it essentially has two on switches. It grows really compact plants for the most part, so if you don't like stretch this light is for you.

I currently have four of them in a 4x4 but I could get away with 3 no problem, I'm just crazy that way.

I just purchased a TS1000 LED lamp so it's not on the front burner right now, but being a sparky kind of guy I might give building one a shot in the future.

This is liquid.
But if it's from Monsanto I SHOULD return it!
I hate that fucking company.

Monsanto does not own general hydroponics. Besides, Bayer owned Monsanto, so if you really want to boycott Bayer, good luck...
Without getting political, we gotta start somewhere!
Boycott's are very effective. But thats for another forum.
I come here not only to gain knowledge, but also to get away from the real world shit-show for awhile.
Back to growing bud!
