If you could add 1 strain to the garden what would you order?

Been on the hunt for a gg4 or GMO cookies batch of seeds, but they're getting harder and harder to find. I offloaded gg4 a year and a half ago and I've regretted it ever since. Moonshine haze #1 x ghost train haze #1 turned out to be a dud. I thought it would replace gg4. It did not. Lower yield, less trichome development, and overall not as good as gg4. I'm cycling it out of my flower room now. Girl scout cookies from seedsman was total trash. One of the worst strains I've grown in years. Low yield. Unimpressive aroma. The only thing decent was the high and flavor of the bud. Recently my main stays have been critical mass, maui waui, jager, and blue dream.


I'm planning to place an order tomorrow but thought I'd check in with you guys and girls to see if maybe there's something I should have in the garden that I'm overlooking. I need a gg4 replacement bad. Even if it is just another gg4. The patient demand is high and I keep getting asked and I keep saying I don't have it.

Were you planning to get CSI's GG4 S1? They have a lot of crosses with it as well. I wish I had the cash for the GG4 x Bubblegum.
There is a company called Sweet Seeds. I gave them a chance early on - through Hella Dank Seed Co. 7 fems for $44. It's called Gorilla Girl
GG4 x Thin Mint GSC. I ran it and can confirm it is what they say it is. Really enjoyed it. Still in stock!

I have never in my life grown, smoked, or even seen skunk #1. That sounds like the kind of strain I would like to grow. The kinda herb you can't even walk around with in your pocket because it's offensively funky to non smokers :) You've peaked my interest sir. What's the flavor and high like? This has my mind moving in a whole different direction.

A gg4 s1 would be killer to get a hold of, but I don't think I'd want to part with that kind of money :) I tried to order peyote gg4 from seedsman that showed in stock, but as soon as I added it to my cart all packs showed sold out and it zeroed my order out. There were almost 200 reviews at 4.8 raving about it's yields and potency. Total bummer. The hunt continues. gg4 x thin mint gsc sounds pretty appealing. What did you feel the differences were between straight gg4 and the gg4 x thin mint?

GG4 (Josey cut)
Wedding Cake (Jbeezy cut)
Super Lemon Haze (Franco's cut)
Dosido (Norcal Cut)
Slurricane (Cowboy's cut)
Runtz (I forget whoever Runtz was pheno hunted by.. haven't done a complete run of this yet)

Skunk #1 that ive experienced is an indica, a very heavy couch lock high perfect for video gaming. And munching. The flavor is green, lol. Very, very skunky. Haven't had it in decades, hell, it's probably non existent now after "breeding" bros. But in the early 90s, I had friends growing in the Emerald Triangle that swore they had the real deal. And it was insane. Ahhhh, good times....

Well currently I just want to try a CBD strain for the first time... but ignoring that, I'd like to grow pre98 bubba kush again. Those terps are so unique.

That description just drips with appeal. Right now I'm on the fence between the skunk #1, gg#4, super lemon haze, and pre-98 bubba kush.

GG4 is out there but horribly fucked up overpriced right now at every seed bank I've seen it listed. The only reason they're charging what they're charging is because idiots will pay it. I'll wait for the fad to die down before I pay more than something it's worth. Now the skunk #1 has a great price everywhere and it's available because it's not trendy. Super lemon haze is a little more of a rare bird, but prices were fair when I see it listed. Pre-98 bubba kush is also available readily with fair prices. I think I kinda just narrowed my options to skunk #1, super lemon haze, and pre-98 bubba kush. Though shall not overpay for seeds due to market trends :)

Honestly if you want to grow GG4, you should get the cut. It might be overpriced, but you can get cuts shipped to you pretty much anywhere these days, and then you don't have to worry about sifting through all the crappy phenos to find something resembling the real Josey cut of GG4. Strain companies naming seed lines after clone only cuts is generally a losing prospect for the customer.

Exactly! I ordered that ghost train crap thinking it was gonna be amazing and it was over powering citrus that was just unpleasant in my opinion. Gimme the 90's road kill skunk nug ;)

Ordering clones sounds pretty cool. I've never even considered such a thing. You kinda just bent my brain in a pretzel. The world just went from flat to round and 3 dimensional :)

I can't effing believe I forgot about herbies! I asked a buddy how he finds all his great strains and he says he just google searches for what he wants. Novel idea, right? Don't mind me - I'm a little slow :) I did just that and boom:
