Getting my mojo back!

Started transplanting into 5 gallon final containers but running out of room will either move a couple out and flower 5 plants in 5 gallons in the 3x3 or I’ll just keep these 4 that I already transplanted and move the other 4 elsewhere to a least be ran into edibles or even set up another environment near identical in a different location under an extra light I have sitting around hmm...

Running out of space but will transplant up two more plants today/tomorrow then just need to find a home for two more maybe I can put one in my veggie garden, and maybe I’ll “mother” one out to keep the strain, keep it in veg and take cuts of all others before flip too in case I get a keeper pheno...

will veg in these 5 gallon pots for about two weeks then after sexing all of them, I will decide if I can flip or if I need a lil more veg time in my very short space, these are day 18 from seed today

Very busy these days but gonna transplant the rest ASAP, pretty sure they are near root bound by now but a day or two should be ok...

The ones in their five gallon pots are looking happy and growing steady, first pic is a plant I thought I topped but didn’t go low enough with my scissors and it came out as a FIM

Utilizing LST to bush them out, I topped only once very early on to get thick even tops, I will probably switch to 12/12 very soon possibly tonight, as my space is only 68” tall and with 5 gallon pots my plants are approaching ~18” - 20”
with 18” between light and 10” for the hood that already makes near 48” so I will reset my timer to 12/12

AACT for tomorrow’s watering

Has EWC, mycorrhizae, guano, kelp, alfalfa, raw cane sugar all the exact amounts are in my notes somewhere but brewing for ~48 hours in 1 gallon of distilled water

I will use this “concentrate” and give to each of my 6 plants ~20 oz but top off with distilled water until it’s a gallon of liquid in a milk jug to make it nice and even amongst all of them

Good AM. I was away for quite a while as well. Thought you might benefit from this. They have pot technology now. Not weed pot, actual pots. Checkout smart pots & air-root pots. I think bluetooth pots are on the way. I like the air-roots.

The best thing ever though are the soft twisty ties. Better order the 3 pack.

Oh yes sir I love the smart pots personally I just was in a hurry to start this run and did have these lying around haha

And yeah those softer ties really make a difference they don’t tear into your stem ever plus much easier to position just right

best newer tech I’ve tried is lighting for sure as these Cmh 315s are really impressive! I’m using the sun system fixture and Phillips 3100k bulb, can’t speak on flower yet, but I love the way my plants veg under them

Been busy for a few days but here’s the ladies flipped to 12/12 on Thursday evening and canopy is filling out if my darn space wasn’t so short I would’ve vegged 2-3 weeks longer I really miss my old 10’ ceilings and my old house setup in general but I gotta work within my means for now

Gosh I guess my years I took off got me a lil rusty on being as proactive to ID late showing males, which I had 3 of sadly, so here’s the true ladies left 3 out of 6 so 50% exactly on the ratio of female to male not counting others I moved out of the tent due to space constraints but once my veg area is back up this will be no issue as I will have a few extra seedlings to back me up if I have an extra male or two but we live and learn !

this run has re-taught me SEVERAL things that seem like I remember honestly getting to this point before at the end of my growing before I moved in 2017, re realizing why I switched from Subcools(RIP) Super Soil as much as it taught me, to a more coots-style mix with barley straw mulch, cover crop, compost teas, IPM, etc.

Too bad I had to move or I'd be at ~8 or so cycles in those no-till pots I had run a TGA tester in it was Super Silver Haze x Querkle. The smoke and quality was unreal. That run was finished in January 2017.

now, back to this run and what I learned...

Patience, me being so excited to start again I didn't think things through as far as super soil vs no-till and was like well I've done super soil in the past with very good results and I can always do next run no-till, especially having all ingredients for super soil locally and some of no-till stuff I'd need to order and wait to receive..

Keep my plants from being rootbound ever next time by planting in solo cups then transplant to their final container, or just seed in final container if possible..

to preventing Cal-Mag issues with using distilled/RO water from seed, De-chlorinate water to preserve soil microbiology but RO/distilled is not necessary for living soil...

ALWAYS plant more seed than I need by one or two plants to compensate for runts/males, a seed or two not popping, etc...

Sex plants before flip unless you want to be unpleasantly surprised when growing regular seed and not cuts or fems, although I have never ran fems and may not in the future...

Less is more, Keep it simple, and be patient. Very key concepts I seem to forget from time to time...
