I live in the states, and the guy is a complete criminal and we want to see him fucking crucified.
America is full of criminals, cant build new prisons fast enough.
Could Democrats really pursue the 14th amendment?

Yep, move on to indictments, trials and convictions, the next move is accountability. Donald could get a pass from the GOP senate, but it might be a different matter in the courts.

The senate republicans want Donald gone more than the democrats and since Chucky is making the trial rules this time, they could have a secret ballot on guilt or innocence, they can do it if they want and the dems can decide it by a simple majority vote! This could be the way they do Donald in the senate, by secret ballot, remember what happened with Liz Cheney in a secret ballot? Donald is dangerous and I can see the dems giving the republican senators some cover to allow Mitch to muster the 17 votes needed.
I like that idea but that isn't easy either. The Senators literally fear for their families lives. The death threats are real. Vote speculation would be rampant. Fox reporters would hound the Senate to get clues. Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Tuberville would give clues about other R's on Fox if they knew them.

On the other hand, it'd definitely give the GOP the chance to ditch that poison & move on. He's more of a liability than ever before and it will only get worse with time. Better to rip off that band aid quick. It will be much worse later on.

Trump Lawyer: Won't Use 'Polarizing' Election Fraud Defense
Bruce Castor, who will be representing former President Donald Trump in his impeachment trial before the U.S. Senate beginning Tuesday, said his team will not be using election fraud as a defense.

"It's such a polarizing issue, I don't see any tactical advantage in injecting a problem into the case," Castor said Monday

Trump has said his speech at a rally earlier had nothing to do with the riot and the rioters acted on their own. He pointed to the fact he specifically told rallygoers to march to the Capitol and "peacefully make your voices heard."

Sure, hard to use election fraud when it really was a fake claim and everyone knows it.

I think I saw seven phones in the crowd. Guess it was one of those self defining moments that people wanted to record themselves doing greater things with their miserable puny lives.

AKA: I don't want to do prison time for lying while under oath.

this is such a surreal photo..the smallness of men- the greatness of the building and what it stands for.

i'm sick with the knowledge that Senators will not vote their oath to the country.

we should be able to censure them for such an obvious betrayal to America but this is the country of no accountability.

are you guys still made Maggie got a few dollars?

um, no.

grow a spine and figure it out would be my recommendation.
