Is this root rot

Its 3 Purekush
4x4 tent
RDWC
220L of water
Advanced nutrients connisoir grow
Day temp 78.8f
Night temp 68f
Humidity controlled at 55%
Water temp controlled at 68f
PH static at 5.8
EC static at .850

Looks great bro. Could have some on the inner or lower but nothing obvious in that vid. With root rot they'll be dead/slimy. Kick in some silica blast though if your temps are hitting 78, that's already past the danger zone 74-76degrees..I use hydroguard but others here use Southern AG, that'll be good too..

A little trick to help w/high daytime temps maybe throw in a frozen 1 liter soda bottle in your res every morning bring it down from 78-69ish.

When I mentioned daytime temps I meant my tents environment temp not the water temp. I have a water chiller keeps it at 68f. Sorry I didn't explain my first post very well

Nutes dont stain roots.

Any color other than pure white means some type of bacterial growth. There are about a million different ones and not all are deadly.

Notice in the video right under the net pot - where the water is still bubbling strongly - the roots are pure white. If it was nute staining, then they would all be brown. I suspect that white area is still white because of higher O2 levels.

Check those nutes you are using. If they have any organic components - enzymes, sea weed, etc, then thats not good in hydro. I personally have had horrible luck using that brand in hydro.

That said - that doesnt look like a bad pythium infection, so you are probably fine. Your low water temps are likely keepign things in check, but I would consider going sterile if it was me.

Could be a humic/fulvic acid stain, maybe URB Natural, I run these in my dwc but yep also organic additives can tint them brownish. Having good turnouts with Advanced Nutrients *for additives only 1/2 dose (GH for base, switching everything over to New Millennium) but with organics though I'll run supplements sparingly/in need witha quick follow up reservoir change.

If you are asking me, then the answer is Jacks 321 hydro. More importantly - never ever put anything in your hydro rez that came from a plant or animal base. Pure salts only.

Anything organic just feeds bacteria like crazy. This includes things like hydroguard, and others - which are just another type of bacteria.

As far as staining roots - every time someone says their nutes are staining roots, there is someone else running the same exact nutes with pure white roots. Plus, often times you will see a grwo start out pure white, then get "stained" later in the grow.

Plus, if it was the nutes causing the stain, then ALL the roots would be stained. How is it possible only some roots take the stain in some parts of the water but roots right next to them are pure white?

Its not the nutes staining anything. Its bacterial growth of one kind or another.

You're using muriatic/hypocloric acid acid as a sterilizer? How the heck do you keep the PH up? Thats a very strong acid. I cant imagine it working as a sterilizer and still being able to keep the PH in range?

Your chiller is probably enough, but it wont hurt to use some bleach/chlorine/pool shock at low PPM's just to be extra safe. Between 2-4 PPM should be good for every day use. There are several recent threads in this section on how to mix it up to get the correct levels.

pool shock is calcium hypochlorite which converts to hypochlorous acid when mixed with water.. i was using this before i got a chiller but since the chiller was installed i stopped, my ph stays pretty static for the most part, and i have a ph controller.. fyi forgive my typo above i accednetly stated hypocloric acid when it is actualy hypochlorous acid i was using
