I just want to know if it's ok to use distilled water if I use cal mag for regular waterings and with nutrients and I use nutrients? Then ph with ph up and down??

Distilled is the term for pure water. PPM should read zero.

Yes. You can use it like you would RO water. Adding Cal-Mag makes it form of mineral water. Feel free to use PH down or up.

Ok good to know that I'm doing it right. I emailed the lady from Fox farm and she told me not to use distilled water but I didn't include in my email that I was using ph up and down and calmag too with the nutrients so that's probably why she said that. Thanks again

I have well water and the house is old so water's really hard we don't drink it. Ppms are like 350. I also worry that some of those ppms are metals so I have to water em somehow. Plus adding cal mag for now and nutes on top of the cal mag later.

Id mix your tap water 50-50 with distilled.. I honestly don't think you'd have any problems with straight tap in soil.. But if you whacked it in half you'd absolutely have no problems.

Is there any issues with distilled water because I also pH it too. I have no issues buying it really they sell it at the store right up the street from my house for like 75 cents a gallon so I figure it would be safer knowing exactly what I'm giving my plants which I wanted to do anyways it's no biggie except the whole process of carrying the 20 gallons of water from store to car to house then my wife yelling at me because we have a whole closet full of nothing but water.

Always had problems with distilled water. I couldnt tell you why though. I prefer to just pH down my tap. My tap water is ~9.0 pH and 250ppm

Invest in a cheap RO setup why carry water ? And u gotta remember when u water in soil u should have 50% runoff so depending on how many plants that could be a trip to the store 1 or 2 times a week and u should test the run off see what your pH is and ppm and adjust what u put in according to that

50% runoff? In soil? No way, that'd be some awful advice.

I don't get any runoff.. Zero, none. I bottom feed once the plants roots fill up a pot.

Runoff in soil is only used if you fucked up and overfertilized the hell out of a plant or you fed too much too often and salts build up.

If you feed, water, feed, water alternating dvery time there is no salt built up.

If the water has any sodium or chloride in it, this is “how to kill a plant”.

I'm just asking a question on this thread I've been wondering was nothing but Cal Mag supplement basically pure powdered calcium magnesium diluted majorly with water and it water my plant with that now I want to go to a bloom booster I think it's a morbloom 0-10-10

Would love to see an article supporting this “50%” runoff.

and it’s terrible advice. It might be the best advice YOU can give but that doesn’t make it good.

So what are u saying you water your plants with just enough so there is no drainage?
