Why some clone die when planted?

I've built a diy come bucket, and I've had great results with rooting.

My problem is once I plant them some live and some shrivel... not sure why?

Anyone know what the issue might be here.

Temps are 20C
Room RH 30% - 35%

Seems like they loved the clone bucket more

Cannabis absolutely hates soil with wood in it. They start looking like your clones.

Its your soil.

That looks like ProMix. The top looks like the $15 dollar big bag of wood mulch from Lowes.

When I plant clones into soil I have to harden them off for a few days. I mist them and place a clear plastic cup over it. Mist each day and water the soil every other day. Typically it takes 3 days for them to get used to their new home.

The plants I took clones from are completely happy in the exact same soil, from the exact same bag, additionally 3 of the 7 are happy, so pretty sure it's not the soil.

I'll try putting a dome on the wilted ones and see if it helps, thanks.

I was just wondering if there is a certain method to planting from clone bucket. The roots were about 18" long.

Weird... I bottom watered 2 litres of water yesterday. Hmmm
..

Checking the soil seems well saturated about 50% down, and the roots are about 75% down from top.

But ok, I'll try top watering to run off then.

Thanks

If that's what you call "well rooted" then that is a problem. That one long root is not what you want from a clone. You want a bush of roots coming out of that stem. That is just ONE root. I don't care how long it is.

That is what happens to my clones if I try to plant them early and not enough roots.

Actually that pic is from one of the survivors, the others had a couple more, but yea mostly just one long root, so you think I should trim that root and let it sit in clone bucket longer? Otherwise the root is in water? Or just leave it?

I think he'd be better off putting those in solo cups for 2 weeks before that large container. In solo cups you can keep em in a dome with higher RH for a few days whole the root system grows out a bit inside the solo cup.

Yes. Cut the root at about 4 inches and it will force the plant to shoot out more new roots. Give it another week.

Try it with one or two for now to prove that IS the issue. If it works you will know in 5 minutes after planting and watering the clone.
