1. Very probably, the rainwater is quite acidic and I started to give a little thrive as I felt the plant now .75m high and 1m wide is exhausting the nutes in the 25l container of home-made compost. Could be time for a wood ash drink.1) Sulfur def or maybe start of calcium def
2) underwatering or way overwatering.
2. I think you may be right on the money - underwatering. The growing medium is so porous, the water runs out of the bottom within 5 secs, the tips are lifting up now. I reckon the plant needs watering daily. I've been cautious with the watering, as I've read that too much water is worse than too little.
